After my 182 engine decided to spit out its bottom end I thought as the engine out I would fit a new clutch. Correct me if I am wrong but the OE clutch is about £130. all i wanted to know would it be best to use a Renault genuine clutch or go for an uprated one.

Yeah think going down that route would be best. As engine out going to get all belts done and new clutch. Going to cost more but would be better in the long run.
Rentech got an engine on 40k would it be ok to stick a new cam and aux belt and leave the dephaser or get it all done ? What else should I do as the engine is off
Come to the conclusion it is the small end bearing as the knocking is mainly at top end and is more noticeable when you blip the throttle. May consider getting it rebuild but can get an engine for £500 and fitted for about £400, plus will be cheap to get cam belt/aux and clutch changed whilst...
