No, those stats aint quite right for a start...
The 182 is heavier than a mk1 172 or a Cup, but lighter than a mk2 172.
As for acceleration, its the fastest 0-60, and the Cup is fastest 0-100 but they are so close youd be swapping wing mirrors!
All the quick 1/4 mile time runners use basically the same mods...
Induction kit (Viper usually)
Performance zorst
de-cat
R-Sport ECU
These cars are running very low 14s at mid/upper 90s terminal speed, so quick cars and only simple bolt on mods.
Other worthwhile mods are things like...
Reckon the best handling and most "comminicative" car Ive owned is my old 106 GTi which was just superb!
The Cup is better on a track than a road though, try it they go very well... ;)
Trust me, I had a Viper on my Cup for the 9 months I had it, and did not have a re-map.
It ran very well, made superb power & torque on the rollers, was not running lean and ran 14.5s 1/4 miles, so deffo not a problem!
The Viper is about £250 but the BMC is only about £170 and youd be better off with one of them.
I had a Viper on my Cup, but have a BMC on my CTR and they are both good.
The mk1 is slightly quicker than the mk2, but the mk2 has more low end (off cam) pull than the mk1, handles better, has a closer ratio box, more toys, a nicer interior and looks better (IMO).
