    No wonder sports are quick...

You said it... :p Size wise yes, but they sell to the same people, so 172/182, CTR, Cooper-S, etc.. are all aiming at the same sector.

Neither is a Pulsar GTi-R but that was named above! However, the 172/182 and CTR are after the same slice of the market...

197bhp / 1204kg = 164bhp/tonne So only 2 less than a Cup or 182, but I have more than 197bhp... ;) LOL The Top Gear times are hardly comparative, try other tests and see... I had a Cup before the Civic, loved it, know exactly how quick they are!

    The 172 & Cup are 170bhp (172ps) and the 182s are 179bhp (182ps). Weight wise >>> mk1 172 - 1035kg (164bhp/tonne) mk2 172 - 1110kg (153bhp/tonne) Cup - 1021kg (166bhp/tonne) 182 - 1080kg (166bhp/tonne)

    V6

True, I only have 158lb/ft of torque and 208bhp, but then again it only weighs 1204kg so a lot lighter than a V6, although way heavier than a 172 or a Cup. Check out my impressive torque curve though >>&gt...

CLIo 182 vs Autoexpress - Not good news

They raved about the 106 GTi and the VTS, said driving wise they were superb and reckoned only the Caterham strung together a series of corners better than the 106!!! Think the larger/wider tyres on the VTS help the lap time, I know my GTi was better when I ditched the 185/55 14s and went to...

Evo road test of cup vs focusRs,WRX,coopS

For a normally aspirated 2.0 litre 4 cyl engine its actually a decent amount of torque, especially in a light car! Compare it to other similar engines and theres nowt wrong in the torque department. My old Cup actually made 153lb/ft as low as 4500rpm on the rollers, so a really strong...
