toughcoat really is a favourite product of mine, so easy to use and really gives more of a glossy wax finish than your traditional sealant finish. One of the best things about it is as its as easy to use as a quick detailer, it is so easy to add additional layers of protection provided it still...
nice write up
from what I understand tough prep is supposed to lay down more of a polymer base than wax base when compared to rejuvenate. I personally didn't think it cleansed as well as rejuvenate. It does leave a lovely finish though
Spirit can be a right PITA if left to cure for too long...
Just coating the lower sections you can get away with using 100ml on a Clio sized car and it still is effective on the level of dirt you bad picked up.
With beading like that after it goes to show how well it cleans, whilst leaving your existing protection un-harmed
Sealants typically will partially strip or React with what ever they go over, which is why most like bare paint or a specific primer. Do that over a wax and you have a combination that won't mix well resulting in shortened durability and performance.
All the years I've been on here and only met 2 of you. And that's only recently. Lol
I'll check the babysiting rota and see what I can do, provided non Clio owners are still welcome
Using a damp drying towel will help reduce drag over the panel.
You can get round this by drying all glass first, wetting the towel before touching a panel. Also once the fibres are initially wetted, it seems to pick up water better instead of the fibres initially resisting
Rinse it out, then thoroughly rinse it out, then do it again, then tinge out as much as physically possible and leave to air dry in a cool dry place
he hairier they are with the likes of the carpro and wookies mitts, best get an old comb going through them.
Their diameter fits nicely inside the standard sized 200ml pots like DDJ, AF, Zymol etc.
Having the full surface of the applicator primed with wax spreads nicer and being able to hold it from the top helps with a nice even coverage. It's not world's apart from using a standard foam app but...
Angelwax desireable £60. Supposed to be same formula as the original autofinesse desire with the original launch of 20. I don't know about the newer desire formulas but my original would always hit 6months. And as for wax applicators, he autofinesse waxmate and other puck style applicators...
What was he sonax sample you got?
The hubikote shampoo was very nice, but at £20/litre price range there are ohers a lot cheaper and still good performers
As above really, there hasn't been many wheel sealants that perform well but mint runs did pretty well, as did colli 476 and FK1000. But then see my thread on proper wheel sealants with nano / quartz coatings.
Miss N, you could use C2 on wheels, pretty sure chappers uses it on some of his details
Autofinesse sent out samples with recent orders for haloween, plus there was a thread last month with hen asking for product testers asking for them to be reviewed.
Illusion is a show wax so all about the finish, but it's the nicest easiest fool proof wax I've ever used, durability was similar to temptation.
Would love to have tried it on my old LY
I had 4months from it on my winter wheels before I took them off the car, were still protecting then so worked pretty well.
Have you not got a wax or sealant already that's fairly durable to use n both pai t and wheels?
There is more to it though than just the pH level. Some of the pre wash products, like citrus power, are almost as alkaline as some kitchen / oven cleaners. Not likely to start multi using or mixing these types of products. I can't imagine just the pH affecting a glass coating myself.

IIRC rejuvenate and toughprep had similar levels of abrasives and fillers. Although applying by hand I personally didn't notice much cut at all compared to machine. I didn't find it lifted as much dirt as rejuvenate
Coby, as you have it I'd use tough prep instead of rejuvenate under a sealant.
Chemical guys mild clay mitt seemed to work pretty well but only used it on my car once which is never really that badly contaminated, plus I won't be correcting after every decon session so I want minimal if any...
from watching the review from PolishedBliss they liked it but recommended it only for well protected or fairly clean cars IIRC. probably far better cleaners out there for that use

Wait for homebase to do another 15% off weekend and get the nilfisk centinnal, it's basically a C120. use any nectar points and get it cheaper still.
If you don't want to wait look round for the cheaper C110, works fine with a snow lance and can be found for £50/£60
The snowfoam can be...
