I consistently saw 5.5 / 6months from spirit. Whereas toughcoat best I got was 3 from a single layer. Topping it with a wax both would last longer than 3months but water behaviour dropped off quicker than the wax on its own
If you want to use both a wax and sealant together, it is generally sealant first then wax over. But my use showed that a single layer of spirit will last longer than a single layer of toughcoat so putting spirit over toughcoat will typically shorten the life of spirit to match that of...
Depending on the cloth, I may just rinse them in the sink with plain water, if they're bad they'll go in the washing machine on rinse.
Srp has very mild abrasives so will go some way to removing old waxes, but ideally a full decon will help the rest
Keep me top'd up with lather and citrus power and we could come to some arrangement!
Looking forward to trying the new formula Lather, hope I like it as I ordered 5l
Tripple and toughcoat is a very good, easy to use and good looking combo.
Jaff, tripple will fill swirls, only really enough polish in there to go at light marring, where as rejuvenate will tackle minor swirls. If you have a fairly swirled finish then a proper polishing compound is what you...
Tripple is an all in one, it cleans, mildly polishes and leaves behind a small amount of protection
Rejuvenate is a good chemical cleaner with mild abrasives that can nip out minor swirls and leaves a good base for wax to bond to.
The revitalise polishes are nothing but bare compounds for...
Cribert, can I suggeest if you've got through a 15ml bottle of C4 on two cars you've used far too much. I have done 4x 16" alloys and all the plastics on my mk4 golf that has all bump strips unpainted approx 2years ago and still holding out, and I still didn't use all the 15ml bottle.
When 30...
A friend buys a litre at a time so it works out much cheaper at £7/litre instead of buying a single litre separately for £20 so it works out well for both of us in the end. It's lasted us both approx 2years and we've just decanter the last of the bottle.
Rejuvenate seems to pull a lot of dirt out of the paint even after a thorough wash and decon process, does a decent job of lightly filling whilst offering mild correction. No. Of the waxes I've tried over the top have ever had issues of bonding.
It's one of those generally good all round product
I've come to believe in this recently. Regardless of my washing technique, just gerenal use and others around the car inflict more swirls than my washing so I've given up. I plan to make one more attempt at corection when I seal the cars with a nano sealant but loosing interest if that doesn't...
It's not stripped the wax or sealants on my cars currently
It can be used as a shampoo, so I'd hope it's intended to be LSP safe, and feels fairly well lubricated,
Asda and other supermarkets had it for £3 to £4 for a 1litre bottle and has stayed like it since I first found rapid dirt shifter.
It's cheap, foams fairly well but performance wise it's average in comparison to a good snow foam or pre rinse product. So for the price it actually works pretty...
Typically 75/100ml of citrus power pre wash, some users use a lot more but is only needed on the lower half of the car
20/30ml of lather shampoo per wash
50ml of tripple all in one polish per application but on its own this will last 2months.
20ml of toughcoat sealant per application, over...
he also said £15, so at least he'll get a variety in the kit. enough to get him started till he can afford to get accessories
BTBM will almost blow his budget. Then claying isn't a good idea unless he buys tar and iron removers to use first. Ahh there's just too much.
Don't buy anything, don't...
Will do, planning on getting a new family wagon shortly so plenty of test panels. Can bring down a few other bits like desire for you to compare.
I did see it, but didn't think admin are too impressed with the p!ss taking lately with closed or deleted post etc so didn't contribute
Spirit is a good performing wax, it just doesn't hit that spot in comparison to some in a similar price range. Don't leave it on too long before buffing off, although probably won't be too much of an issue this time of year
