Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
LMFAO I just read the bit where he said it went bang and he could bits of metal rattling through the exhaust.
Ahhhh well we've all had an engine go - it's part of life lol - at least he's done it properly!

That's why the numbers are so utterly pointless - mines 195 and I had no problem keeping up with him around Anglesey ;)

Properly dead from what I've heard - bits of engine coming out the exhaust :(
Jenvey bodies - in my opinion the best as it's a proper tried, tested and performing solution.
Fitted to my standard 118k engine with a remap is producing 195+ bhp.
Lovely noise, lovely power. You do lose some day to day driveability though so if it's your daily car I would have a strong think...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
I've never used them no - I used another company that don't get involved with forum b****cks. But there were a few ex-TDF cars there getting proper maps done on them and the increases were enough to make me...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Ditto - considering it was SUPPOSED to be 215+ bhp but it's still running on the standard old 182 injectors lol
I don't think it's been re-mapped at all since it was done at TDF - so who knows where the...
The display wont work though
It's easy to do steering wheel controls but for some reason none of the currently for sale adaptors keep the display on the dash top working
I have an Alpine one that does, bought it from MT Audio over a year ago - but alpine stopped making it :(

Roof vent is on my list
You can buy the 197/200 cup racer one - but I've just seen the pics of the 2013 cup racer and it has a much slimmer almost flat roof scoop
Very tempted to see if I can buy one of...
Crikey - was a lot wetter on track than it looked spectating
Love the experience you have in holding those slides now - most people would end up with that snapping back on them - so calm lol
After visiting Oulton Park at the weekend - I'll be watching BTCC there next year.
Lots of hilly areas you can park/stand on and a good view of most of the track.
Brands is good - but fecking miles away
Rockingham I hate. It's always windy and cold and the barriers are so huge you have to...
I've got a ton of photos of all the Clios from Saturday - I'll try and get them all up tonight
Meek - was yours the black 182 out on track with the white 2118s??
LOL yeah was stood in your garage for a lot of the day - spoke to James/Tony/Fred - don't think we've ever been introduced though :( I'll introduce myself properly next time
Awesome race as per usual
I got about 600 photos I think lol - I'll chuck a few up when I've had time to go through and edit them
I want to see a video of your start - was expecting to see you come down the hill near 9th and you arrived in front of James lol - must have been a hell of a launch!
You don't need wideband at all for ecu control, in fact it's not recommended as they are too slow to refresh
A good narrowband is fine
I run a wideband on a gauge so I can keep an eye on things and the ecu runs an ngk mk1 16v lambda that was about £35

That's what I was gonna say - just put the standard undertray back on
The material on top of it soaks oil up quite well - and it keeps the engine bay temperatures a bit lower ;)
Bought a Sigma 30mm f1.4 last week - been playing with it... lovely lens!

Also went out at the weekend to Blyton and did a bit more track photography with the trusty 70-200 2.8 :D...
Just wanna say thanks to everyone who replied
Went to Sheffield on Friday and bought one from a high street store. Ended up costing me £80 more than on-line but I got to try the AF out for myself first and it was nearly spot on. Little bit of Micro AF adjustment but nothing serious
Superb...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
That's on my list of things to do this week while I'm off work
Not keen on the throttle cable going all the way up and over the engine
I did a bit of googling about them
Highly recommended on talk photography forums
They cover all customs charges and goods are shipped from a UK warehouse
They are chinese grey imports so you dont get a UK warranty - BUT they say if anything develops a fault during it's warranty period they...
Thanks guys
Sample shots look really good - it's only £380 on amazon with next day delivery new, and 2nd hand they're £320+ so gonna go for new and then if it needs recalibrating I can get it done free hopefully :D
