Seeing yours was the reason why I decided to leave most of the X in lol
If I can be bothered I might neaten up the old bits of ribs, get the whole thing painted top and bottom after having the dents removed
It's more likely though that the car will end up stickered up next year and I'll have...
The fuel tank has a vent anyway - I've blocked the pipe off and binned the carbon canister on my ITB'd car - no problems at all. It has a secondary vent through the fuel cap I believe
The back plate IIRC is about 65mm - it's a reverie carbon one. The pipercross filter I THINK is 90mm - it's the biggest one they do C603D or something
So overall filter length is 145mm - and the filter fit fine even with the bonnet uncut - but the bonnet pressed against it slightly.
I'm sure...
Just processed and put a couple of pics up on flickr from Trax this weekend..
Still a bit of a mixed bunch of different styles, trying to find a style I like to stick to, these are a bit more documentary styleee I think?
Comments welcome

Yeah the black plastics are a bit wrecked anyway due to years of getting autoglym on them lol
The roof still has some stubborn water marks / tree sap - so I'm gonna buy some new pads for the polisher and some cutting compounds and do it properly in a few weeks - will mask up all the plastics...
I don't mind track car discussions on my thread lol but a bit more on topic...
A lad came over Saturday morning and took my old brake setup for his track car, left me a bit of dosh and I needed some alloy wheel cleaner so popped into town to pick some up.. Came back with this!!

Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
I've been wanting to post that for quite a while LOL. "Doesn't get much better than this" from what I've seen so far it gets a LOT better than that.
DO IT!! This is going to be epic!
Yep that's what I'm doing - fan and fuel pump from omex, full loom getting binned. Probably gonna keep the rear loom for the lights and the front lighting loom - and wire them into a fuse/relay box inside :)
The amount of wiring in the Clio is insane when you all you need is lights/indicators...
Yeah - I don't really trust the standard loom, after taking mine apart some of it is quite nasty lol
Plus my plan is to bin all the standard loom and ecu, run a race tech dash off the omex.

At least it can't be worse than what's already on it ;)
*bites lip*
It sounds like this Donny meet is going to be awesome, I can't wait for it!
I can't believe the response from AST - that's...
Aux2 - that's how my omex 600 is running my dephaser
As for the wiring - you're right the only thing you need to do is splice 2 wires off the TDC sensor onto the old loom - so that the standard ecu can run the rev counter
The standard ecu powers the fan (though that can be controlled from...
I don't really understand the price for the TDF setup. I know Alcon's are built better than wilwoods - but I could never justify spending the price of a 172 cup on just a set of brakes. I'm pretty sure they won't perform in the real world any better than the setup I've got
Ahhh I guess they weren't a UK supplied wheel then as the UK cars by the sounds of it got the normal 2118's
Sorry completely forgot you're running the full cup wishbones, hubs etc.. aren't you - they sit further out than standard so I guess you'll be ok
Rear definitely rubs on mine - don't...
I'm a bit confused by that
Firstly I'm 99% sure the ones with speedline embossed are 2020's not 2118's. They look IDENTICAL but they are supposedly made from magnesium alloy, lighter and come in ET48.5
2118's were made in ET43 for palmer sport and have no center caps - and ET37 for standard...
Ahhh yeah ok so not 2118's - the 2020's
They actually are ET48.5 - and require 10mm spacers to be fitted lol
So basically with the spacers they're ET38.5 - which is very nearly the same offset as standard clio wheels
Yeah higher offset means they sit further in
My 2118's are ET42 and are the palmer sport ones that the palmer cup race cars used
Standard 15" wheels are ET37 and sit 5mm further out
No idea where you got 48.5 wheels from but they'd sit 6mm further in than my wheels. They wouldn't even clear...
I didn't mate - but I'm pretty sure they can run on standard discs as you can buy the setup from Jamsport with Brembo HC's and then you can pay £600!! (lol) for the bells and rotors as an upgrade
I'm glad I bought em - couldn't justify it at £1200 but they're SO LIGHT. You can pick the...
Oh god - every club seems to get stuck there at least once. It's awful
It's high up, windy, dusty. PGAC had it one year, then PSOOC, 106owners have had it - I think they hand it around to one club per year because no-one wants it :(
I don't think it will be late if people are eating. 7-8pm I guess. Maybe a night drive out after.
Flaming Grill - god.. no.. well maybe. LOL. I don't think I could do the challenge burger again though - nearly killed me last time
Yeah they're 2k old I think and the lad's done 1 track day in them and I reckon half the DS2500's are gone
But that being said I've done 1 track day on the DS2500's in my standard calipers and they're half way to the wear indicators too lol
30th October with Javelin - only £139! Bargain for...

If you had all the parts I reckon a ClioSport meet at your garage is required - get it all done.
I'd offer to put you on as 2nd driver on mine so you can have a play at Donington, but seeing how you take...

Honestly - tip of the iceberg. If I had a quid for every cable tie on the car I'd be able to build one myself lol
