Nice project dan, good to see your pushing the mk3 modding scene, as you say, theirs not many people doing it.
Did you notice any difference with the strengthening bars?
I'm quite interested in this s/c kit that this chap is selling
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?689972-Breaking-clio-Many-parts!!
im just after some advise really, I'm sure I can fit it all, I'm just not too sure if it will be ok mapping wise?
has anyone done this conversion...
If you don't know what your looking for, get someone to have a look at your pads, you could have alot of life left in them still, what sort of driving do you do? Around town, motorway etc...
if you do need pads, g172 will probably be the cheapest, he's a trader on here. Ds2500's are a good...
It's more of a safety check than a recall.
sending a letter doesn't cost that much.
It's not the plastic part causing the fault, it's corrosion build up around the moving metal parts.
service history or not, metal rusts, get over it.
Piss easy to fit a new one yourself, two 10mm bolts and a...
Your panels may line up fine but that's not to say your catch is working properly.
You can't expect Renault to pay for everything wrong with your car. Your car is probably about 9 years old now don't forget.
Re: ArcticClio182...progress..
I've got 25mm up front and 10mm on the back and it looks much better.
handling I did notice a difference but only due to being allowed more camber now the front wheels were further away from the strut. If I didn't change the camber I probably wouldn't of noticed...
What happens is the safety catch part on the right hand side gets stiff due to corrosion build up(rust) around the moving parts, if the bonnet is not closed properly this part is suppose to stop the bonnet from flying open when driving, if its not maintained it won't work.
This is the reason...
The thing is their checking the catch for corrosion build up and reporting weather or not they deem it fit for surpose. They should lubricate your orginal catch for free. (we are at the main dealer I work at) if the catch is heavily corroded then it is advised that it is replaced as it may be...
You don't have to pay for it if you don't want to. It's your car, your in charge of the safety of your car, you don't have to do anything to it if you don't want to.
Renault have decided their not coving the cost of all the catches now, every Clio has to have a check on their database to see...
Are they aftermarket sensors or Renault? If aftermarket you won't be able to see fault codes via the obd socket.
If you put the ignition on and put it into reverse you will be able to test each sensor yourself by putting you hand over each sensor. If one is not working then its probably a...
You won't be able to fit 197 alloys straight on as their a different bolt hole spacing on the hub. 197's have five bolts to hold the wheel on and tce clios have four.
You may be able to get spacers that adept from five bolt holes to four.
Oh I see that will explain the stickers on the rear bumpers of your fleet then ;)
Yeah I totally agree much more fun doing track days with your mates, especially when your all driving French tin cans!
