Thanks, it scrubs up well just needs the front bumper spraying and a few little bits of paint to make it tidy
oh and some ph1 rear lights then ill be happy :-)
Finally got the engine job finished off, took her for a quick blast and I must say ive missed it sooo much!
Gave her a quick clean and also swaped the wheels back onto the f1s with ad08rs....
A very long weekend spent dropping the engine in and getting it up and running ...
Only to find the radiator sprung a leak so had to drain it again ready for a new rad
Still Im happy its good progress made and sounds pretty sweet running which is a big rerelief :-D
Managed to get an old bit of exhaust heatshield from a warranty job at work so thought what can I use that for ....
gonna run it without the old mangled heat proofing so figured I better have something to protect the cables etc.

Just been getting the engine ready to be dropped in and decided to paint the bulkhead as it was looking rough.
Not a bad match of paint but will be doing a top coat with titanium I think
Just a few questions about fitting ARP rod bolts...
Would I have to replace the bearings whilst the area is being disturbed or can I just fit the bolts and job done ?
Also wheres the best place to source some if anyone has had experience with these?

Yep, just sorn mine last month whilst swapping engines got a full 5 months refund by cheque.
Its best to do it at the end of a month tho financially cuz the rob dogs only refund in full months
Finished ripping the poorly engine out of my ph1 ready to get my replacement from midge Saturday
Just hope i can remember where all the s**t goes when building it back up lol
Just a quick question, whats the going rate for a 172/182 engine?
They seem to vary quite abit some being nearly as much as a car !
Also if anyone knows of a reasonably priced one then let me know :-)

Well after just 4 laps of Donnington on friday this is how my ph1 ended up
It went without any warning at all which is anoying scince ive spent a small furtune on freshening things up and the milage is only on 96k
Question is do I source another engine for it or break it and buy...
