Dont lower yourself...
No matter what bulbs you put in there, they are still classed as fog lights and as such are illegal to use unless its foggy, so youd just look like every other numpty who has their fogs on all the time!
They are useless as driving lights as the light pattern is totally wrong...
Driving lamps only come on with the full beam too, they are standard fitment on a 106 GTi and they really were good!
My mate has an S14 200SX running nearly 300bhp and its superb!
Thats deffo something to consider too, and the tuning potential with a turbo is great...
Its the exhaust sytem hitting the chassis due to the engine thrashing about with the wheelspin...
Only ways round it are a) ease back in the wet, b) get better tyres, c) get uprated engine mounts
I had some Toyo Proxes on my 306 Rallye and although not the best tyres in the wet, they werent that bad and Ive had worse...
The best tyres I had were Bridgestone S-02s and they were awesome in the wet!
You looked in AutoTrader for ITRs yet?
Id be paying a bit more and getting a standard one with less miles on personally...
At least go and look at/drive this one though, then you know what theyre like and what you can expect!
The idle speed varies and the ECU sorts it all out automatically, so cant be adjusted.
It takes readings from all the sensors and adjusts the tickover so the engine idles as low as possible without it being lumpy or wanting to stall.
Mine also has a low idle speed...
I get about 300 miles before the light comes on, so 76 miles is bascially a 1/4 of that, and so the guage is right...
They do seem better in summer though?!
p.s. Do not trust the "miles left" on the trip computer!
I agree with RS 172 too...
Look at the mods that the quick 1/4 mile time lads have and its just the same sort of bolt on stuff you can get from anywhere!
They aint great in the wet, but then again neither were any of the other quick fwd cars Ive had...
My R5 Turbo is feckin terrible when it comes on boost and the front wheels spin like mad, even worse than my Cup!
Just need to ease back on the go-go pedal and get some decent tyres!
Yeah.
Had it for 2 years, and although it did have a few problems in that time, it was a lot better than the Clio has been and thats not even 6 months old yet!
This was it >>>...
How about a 306 Rallye?!
Just as quick as a mk2 172 and can be had for good money now...
I had one before I got the Cup and it was a very good car!
Another alternative is a 106 GTi, which is another car Ive owned and its my favourite of all the cars Ive owned!
Not quite as quick as a...
Mine used a bit when it was new, but now at 5k miles it seems to be stable and I aint had to top it up for a long time. A lot of cars do use oil from new, the CTR is notorious for it.
I still check my level regularly though...
You will get stung for this one...
Will cost you a lot of money to do this, so you need to ask yourself if its really worht it?!
Surely you knew what you were doing when you bought the Cup over the 172 in the first place???
