What colour is the car?!
Probably silver being a mk1?
Anthracite (grey) wheels look great on some colours, but bad on others.
Get someone to photoshop a pic then you can see first...
Had mine on a couple of times recently when it was foggy, thats the only time and to be honest they do f*ck all anyway...
The yellow ones on the R5 kinda work ok in fog though.
Yeah, 1/4 mile in 14.5secs @ 94mph can back that up too... ;)
There were also two totally boggo low milage 172s on the rollers with me, both made 144bhp @ wheels, which is 169bhp @ fly, which is cunningly 172ps! :o
Also, there torque figures were 142lb/ft @ fly and 144lb/ft @ fly...
Not really...
Its 172ps and 147lb/ft of torque (@ fly) for a standard car.
My Cup has 174bhp and 152lb/ft of torque (@ fly), although it has got a Viper fitted.
She only asked for the wheel... ;)
Anyway, this may help >>> http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.htmlhttp://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
I very much doubt youll see much, if any performance difference by going to a 205 tyre, but you should get more traction, and if Renault decided to fit them to the 182 there must be no problems...
They really are superb in the wet, and I could get all the power down in the Rallye no probs!
Yes, they will fit the standard rims perfectly, and in fact the new 182 comes with 205s as standard, so theres not a problem.
As for the S-02s get them, get them NOW!!!
Had a set of these on my 306 Rallye and they are by far the best tyres Ive ever had on a car!
Nope...
Oddly its cheaper than SUL even though its higher octane?!
My cars always run on Optimax, or SUL if I cant get to a Shell garage, as some cars (like the 172 & Cup) need high octane fuel.
