With regards to starting sounds like it could be the tdc sensor maybe just bad timing that its started to play up when you been spraying your cailper. As for everything else sounds very fare fetched to me sure you havnt had a play with anything else
With the rears I would say its Defo worth taking them off then lock it in a vice, make sure the threads are clean and plenty of lub. Then its just a case of getting manly with the c spanners or stratch all the finish with a big pair of grips.

Spunk it on 2nd hand coilovers then when insurance is due an you fancy a change take them off and sell them for pretty much what you paid for them easy peasy
Cheers mate yeah think I got then the up side down lol do you think its ok to use these with oe pinch bolts or would camber shims be a must. I was thinking maybe they would have a set camber that way if you know whY I mean?
also i was wondering have i got everything i need to fit these straight to the car. im not sure if their is anything needed to bolt to turret i.e are these compatible with oe top mounts. also could you use the original pinch bolts off oe shocks as their is no camber shims present.

i find that even driving quickly not like a nob but 'just want to getting home' driving is scary in the wet and my paradas still have quite a bit of tread left imo of course
