I actually now use a rotary for superior results and quicker correction than a pc I charge £25/hour and a clio would take approx 6 hours

    Cleaning after respray

In theory it should come back perfect and they will have baked it nad youi can wax it straight away and no special treatment required - although paint is likely to be softer. In practice ;) It will come back swirled where they have hit it too hard with the rotary and tbh its probably hard to...

My new car detailed - 56k warning!

Ok maybe not to everyones taste but I thought I'd show some pics! Stage 1 This morning I spent a few hours on the bootlid as it was badly swirled and had buffer holograms but worse it had loads of RIDS (random isolated scratches). First up was to remove the number plate. First up...

    Painted wheels...clouding

A week is a bit soon but its kind of a 'get it sold' type repair ;)

    Painted wheels...clouding

Freebone given that you sprayed them by hand the paint would have gone on very thick - if you had polished through the laquer it would be patchy as you would not be able to polish through uniformly all over. 1k paint is a cheaper kind used by 'some' smart repairers and guess what it can turn...

A tip for everyone when applying wax...

I have heard that theory but have never found it to work, Its also not easy to do when hand applying zymol waxes. A tecnique of highlighting will give you better results. Rich mate I'm still hung over so you explain highlighting ;)

    Detailing a Porsche

I've detailed a few older 911's - check detailing world for the threads You will find the paint actually very hard unlike the recent waterbased porka paints. As with any detail, process would be wash, clay, polish, and then either glaze, seal, wax or any combo of those three to include the...

Poorboys Polish... actually putting more swirls on!!!?!

You should be fine with that one If you had used say ssr2.5 then the large particles need to break down into small ones - diminishing abrasives

    Battle against swirls!

That dude is Mike Philips - probably the 'best' detailer in the world - so show some respect!!! Pete a short ring of hosepipe in the bottom of the bucket will keep the grit guard wedged in and add some weight to the bucket!
