You seen my thread about my old 306 Rallye?! Well, the new owner just had a Dastek fitted and after a 4 hour session on the rollers its really running fantastically now. It was done at Ric Wood Motorosport in Stockport apparently and they did a top job!

But theres no hassle with this as its still a cat & totally legit!

Get a Dastek then... you can set it up for current and future mods...

Yes, I know people that have de-catted a car and left the standard exhaust on and it does make a difference. The cat is usually the restrictive part of the system...

Got a Viper on my Cup and its going on the rollers this weekend, so well see how good it really is.... Does make the car quicker and more responsive, as well as sounding superb.

Its lower powered than the one in the 172 so worse...

Got a K&N for an R5 GT Turbo, a Corbeau seat, some TRW harnesses, model car stuff, PC bits, etc... having a clear out! I take it you got that Viper then?!

Same here mate! :D Well, as I said earlier, the main problem is the speakers and I swapped them first, which made a real difference, but I then swapped the HU and it sounds even better now. The standard head unit aint mailto:cr@p">cr@p, but it aint the best!

The standard head unit sounds "ok" with better speakers, but upgrading to a decent head unit will make them sound even better. I changed mine within the first couple of weeks...

No, it aint sealed like a Viper or BMC, but it wont gulp hot air like a normal induction kit, so still good gains...

The R-Sport ECU is the best mod for the Cup. Costs £200 +VAT and is a bargain! Couple that with a sealed IK (Viper, BMC, etc) and a good zorst & de-cat and youll be running the 1/4 mile in very low 14s and sniffing high 90s mph!!!

It aint that bad on corners, but getting the power down can be a pain... Was actually thinking about new tyres for mine tonight on my drive home as those Contis suck in the rain!
