Re: Ollie's Silver Cup - JMS RS2/428s/Wilwood/2118
Good luck getting your engine in the Oven Oliver LOL ;)
As a matter of interest how do you plan on heating the crinkle paint, Heat Gun?
No update as yet, gearbox is on order from Renault, they quoted 7 - 10 days so hopefully arrive end of this week, early next, I just pray that it solves the issue!
My Money would be on Gearbox Mount.
Had what sounds to be the same issue with my Cup.
Take battery off and check that the mount is ok and that the Nut that secures the mount is done up nice and tight.
Deff not the tyres on mine, the wheels were swapped for another set to see if they were the cause, also balanced as well all checked out ok.
Pretty much everyone is now saying the Diff in the box has s**t it's self.
Not resolved yet, waiting on my new Gearbox to arrive from France to see if a new box solves the issue, hopefully it will.
The box should be here end of this week early next, might even have it back in time for CS Saturday.
Im off to Holland to Sell my Cup if thats what they are fetching out there!
Looks nice though, as above looks to be a 182 With Cup Packs rather than a 182 Cup.
As above, i went from OEM to All engine mounts and Dog Bone uprated in one hit.
There is a little vibration now through the car as its so much stiffer, but IMO its a small sacrifice for the 'sharper' feel when putting load through the engine and lack of movement from the front end now.
I dont think it has been done as yet, However Olivers cup is going in Monday for Cams and RS2.
Keep your eyes on this thread for updates -
