Im in the same boat mate. My old 1.2 8v with 28k on the clock is sat in the garage waiting for me to strip the rest of it. Live and learn :)

Right, who've we got within a couple of hours of Lincoln!? The car's had the coil pack replaced before by the previous owner, is that something that goes often? All the sensors sound a bit major.

Any pointers as to how i'd go about doing that? Sorry for the possibly daft question...

When I start my car from completely cold, for the first time in the day or whatever, it is very very jerky. I can't think of a better way to describe it to be honest. Constant throttle just to tootle up to the end of the road, and it's like riding a rocking horse. Slight acceleration and its not...

I paid £70 for a pair to give you an idea, and that was quite cheap.

35/40mm should do the trick mate, and is generally cheaper as far as insurance goes when compared to a 60mm drop. I'll be doing the same before too long. :)
