Slightly wider and slightly less sidewall flex than 185/55's will have, so handling will be better in theory. Have a look on somewhere like blackcircles for prices, but in 195/50 you can pick up yoko a539's for less than 30 a corner.

195/45 has a slightly thinner sidewall in proportion to the width of the tyre (195mm), compared to the 195/50.

Either 195/50 or 195/45, the 50's are alot cheaper.

What does it cost to get something like that taken away?

Are sportlines made to be used with standard shocks? or do people run an aftermarket damper with them too?

Quite hard to tell from the light, but is it the darker maroony red or the more postbox type? I think Giles is right in saying Cherry Red, the same as mine!

Looks great mate, can't knock it for a first motor at all. I wouldn't do too much to it to be honest. A dynamique spoiler, ph2 rear lights and dual-optic headlights will finish it off nicely! Just ask if you want pics of any of them fitted to a Ph1 :) Chris
