as for xenons using more power i'd say they probably do use slightly more power than 55w halogen lamps they are 35w lamps but losses in the ballast and ignitor (sp) probably means they use about 60w but produce alot more light

which did you install first? ubuntu or xp? if it was windows first then you should get the GRUB boot loader or if it was ubuntu then you will get the windows boot loader. both of these will give you the choice of which OS you want to boot
