Get it in and get it checked... My box was never right from new and as Pete says I just had a new box fitted, even though its only 6 weeks old!!! :o Had no problems engaging gears, but it was whining in 1st gear and sometimes crunched going into 2nd but they swapped it.

The air valve is just driven off a vac line from the inlet manifold, so youd need to block that if you remove it...

But BHP (DIN), PS & JIS figures all equate to the same value and that is 98.629% of the BHP (SAE) value that we are all calling BHP here...

Actually, the longer Ive had it, the better it seems... Just the initial shock of losing over a hundred bhp and a load of torque means that they feel very underpowered, but now Im used to it then its pretty nippy.

But Renault only claim 172bhp (DIN) aka 172ps which is actually 169.7bhp in UK terms and youll find that many of them do make that power or thereabouts... In fact, some make more!

Noooooooooooooooooo!!! Theres no computer system at LAD (AFAIK) and we want power & torque graphs, for @ fly and @ wheels, so need somewhere that does this, and Powerzone just got a new setup so theyll do.
