I set the interval timing up to shoot every 5 seconds, and I left it for most of the evening. I ended up with 1961 frames in total.
Imported into iMovie '11, I created the video then RE-imported that video and sped it up more. I found that the first video it created was a little jerky, so I...
Last day off before work, mostly spent behind the camera. (the rest of the day I will be too)
Read in full on my blog: http://www.danfreemanphotography.com/2011/05/a-morning-amongst-the-blue-bells/
Then some 'normal' photography ;)
...and then a play whilst...
Pretty damn chuffed with these, particularly the first. Thanks to Bomber and Paul for lending their cars and helping out. :)

Yep.....another site change!

Really happy with this one so far, nice and simple is my philosophy, so I hope you think it sticks to that.
I've only done the major nuts and bolts, but all the content is there (apart from two galleries). All the blog...
As the Autoglass man is here to replace my windscreen, I took a quick photo of the washer bottle area, and relevant hoses.
Which hoses are for the headlight washers? Can I just cut them and bung them with a screw or something similar?
I'm fed up with them leaking so any help would be...
Although my ar is stripped, I haven't played about with the wiring loom much (like cutting bits off!)
Recently, it's been re-locking the car even if a door is open.
So normally, if you unlock the car and DON'T open a door, it re-locks itself after 20 seconds or so. Why would it re-lock...
Since fitting the PF97 pads, my front alloys have seen better days!
These were some AFTER a clean with Bilberry from a while ago:
And one just before I used Wonder Wheels:
Then......after about 2 hours of elbow grease, yes 2 HOURS!.....I was left with this:
Much...
Today was the first time I've ever taken a photo of a 'model', I've always steered clear of 'people photography', just because of the extra difficulties involved. With a car....it just sits there nice and quiet.....people are a bit different ;)
But I am quite lucky to be able to use the...
I've been rolling with a stripped car and buckets for a while, and as I got my bonus a few weeks ago I decided to treat the car to its last mod - after this it won't be touched, just enjoying it on as many trackdays as I can.
I decided to go for the Custom Cages one, it's the CL4 kit if you...
So my cage is on order, and as it's NOT a dash dodger, the dash has to come out.
I'm at this stage so far:
Question is, how to I progress further? How do I remove the main bulky bit with the centre controls and glove box?
Thanks for any help :)
Last day tomorrow here in Mauritius, unfortunately I was unlucky with the weather yesterday, it pissed it down in the evening when I got back to the hotel.
BUT....This evening I was really lucky and got a nice sunset :)
This job does have some perks it seems ;)
The weather on day one...
Nothing majorly special this time, just a very quick mess about shoot with Dave and Adey, with their SC Clios.
Yes the location is pretty naff, but as usual we were struggling for places to go (anyone in this area know any decent places?!) and it started to rain as soon as we got here too :(...
Today I stumbled on a neat little bit of software that tells you which graphics mode you are in, ie. integrated or discrete ('external' card).
More than that, you can use the program to force the MBP to use only one of these options, so if you're on battery you can force it to stay on the...
Right, as I've currently got buckets and harnesses, a cage is the obvious next step - as I'm doing more and more trackdays too.
I'm looking to do it properly, none of this show cage s**t. It doesn't have to be a proper climbing frame, but still decent enough to do the job (heaven forbid!)...
I thought I'd do a really quick guide to fixing the white balance in photographs, as many of the shots I see can be made to look so much better with this quick fix.
Firstly, SHOOT IN RAW!
This is a guide for editing the RAW photos, before you import them into Photoshop/Lightroom etc. A...
Second trip to Abu Dhabi.....I'll let the pics do the talking.
More info on blog if you wanna read more on it, I won't clog it up here. http://www.danfreemanphotography.com/2011/03/abu-dhabi-re-visit/
Had to visit here....despite my hatred of Ferrari!
This thing is...
Shamelessly stolen from my blog, but I thought I'd share my thoughts on my first Mac experience.
As many of you know, I didn't have the smoothest start to this! But this is what I've thought from then....
You can read it here, or it is better laid out on my blog page...
Oh my gosh! Not long been out after fitting new brembo HC discs and the PF97s out of the Burpspeed race car.
So not new pads, but they were in very good condition, especially considering they've done a race season and a few track and test days!
Not long been back after bedding in and...
Five days in Rome with a Nikon D3, Nikon 50mm 1.4G and Sigma 85mm 1.4 =
Pretty good trip, Im back there in a couple of weeks so I'll take some different lenses. Any one recommend something else to visit that I didn't?
Thanks for looking :)
I don't usually do sunrise shots for obvious reasons, but my project 52 is providing the motivation to get up early!
Glad I did, as this was a killer sunrise!
Not sure about this one:
A few more on my blog with more info :)
Hi peeps,
I've got a question that I can't figure out, and I'm not sure if OS X can do it.
In windows, I have most of my viewing modes as thumbnails, but for example in my Download folder, I have it as a list.
I don't have to keep switching the viewing modes as Windows remembers it...
Thanks to the motivation from my project 52, I headed out to Nash Point in Wales, which I've heard is a good spot for togs :)

Yep, I've finally done it - I bought a Mac.
It's been on the cards for a while, and with all the travelling I do I thought a nice MBP would be the perfect companion.
So I got the 15" MBP i7, and I got the following upgrades:
- High res anti glare screen. Kind of a no brainer as I would...
Not long been back from Israel. Now I'm just chilling all day waiting for our staff xmas party tonight :)
Pretty cool place there, shame I didnt have longer to look around :(
More pics on my blog too: http://www.danfreemanphotography.com/2010/12/tel-aviv/

I'm looking for a present for my Mum, her computer (my old one!) is on the way out and in need of a refresh.
So.....either cheap laptop?
or...iPad?
Now, my Mum isnt technically brilliant at all, she can just about work a computer! So is an iPad a sensible option for her? She mainly...
I won't write too much as I've written it on my blog :)
Basically I am getting more experienced at this light painting malarky, pretty pleased with the results for a second attempt!
All photos on my blog page...
A few evening spent in Venice after work, what a place!!
All taken with either the 16-35mm VR or 50mm f/1.4 lens. Stupidly I didnt take my 24-70mm which would have been a much better choice :(
A few more photos on my blog page...
Yesterday evening, Steve and I finally managed to get together! Unfortunately we couldn't get a different car to shoot, so we settled with Steve's trophy.
The location was really good, a lot of potential, we were only there for an evening, so only so much we could do in that time.

Myself and Steve Wood (Planetx) are hoping to get together a lot soon to do some automotive work.
We've secured some pretty promising locations, and all we need is some nice motors to shoot.
We would be looking for people in the Wiltshire/Hampshire area, or indeed anyone willing to travel...
