Looking at swapping my 172 to a 182. Noticed on Parkers that the kerb weight on a 172 is 1035kg, but on a 182 its 1090kg ? Where does all the extra weight come from? I was shocked as I thought the removal of the spare wheel would make it lighter.... All comments welcome.

Round town, 33-34mpg average all day long. On a run 40mpg is acheivable easily. Heavy right boot can alter this though.

If only my black 172 was so clean and shiny!. Ideally it gets down once a week, but weather and work can get in the way. I washed it on Saturday and then on Saturday night this sandy rain sh!te (you must know the sort) fell from the sky and now its closer to brown than black!

i have Brembo HC Discs and EBC Green Stuff pads for £110 and fitted myself. Supreme Dot 4 Fluid too, nice improvement over standard, apparently braided lines are a further improvement.

Average 35-36mpg on the computer, but actually works out at 32-33mpg if you work it out at the pump.

Unbelievable amount to spend on insurance £4700 paid lump sum or add 10% if paying mothly is £5170! So do the maths... £4700 works out at £12.80 per day £5170 works out at £14.16 per day! Ludracious.

As above really, after some pics of black clio 1*2 with black (old style) plates, with white/silver lettering. Im sure it's not legal (even though they used to be on all cars) but i reckon i'd look mint. Thanks In Advance

Ive had my 172 for 6 months and only done 4800 miles, and thats alot for me!

I'm on my new XPS M1530 now - and its awesome! Its so quick and it looks the bee's knee's too. Black cover and chrome keys/inside. Well impressed with DELL so far.

My sidelights are yellow, which look pants with the Xenons on, what sidelights can I get that are true white?
