Normally its on a little printed label found in the service history book, it contains your VIN/Engine numbers and underneath there is a 4 digit number, it doesnt say its the radio code, but it worked for me!
Id like to have a play with a 190 to see how it'd be, being biast id say the clio would have the edge. The Celica is a nice looking car, especially the interior, but the standard exterior lets them down (s**t wheels, no rear spoiler etc)
it's cheap, i paid 6k for my 53 172 FF with 23k on back in october, and that was cheap! the Mileage is obviously higher than average but i'd say if all the documentation is upto date then its worth a look.
What sort of realistic mileage can a 1*2 engine do without having issues ? I know there's...
Seen as there is a post for 182 mileage and us who own other vehicles arent allowed to post there ;), we'll have our own! So lowest current mileage and year/model of car.
Looking for Any Clio, any age, just gotta be low mileage....
Ok I'll start
53 Reg 172 FF - 24,500 :)
Make sure your washer bottle is brimmed. Mine sometimes stop working when the washer bottle is getting low, sort of like an eatly warning! I suspect the pump for the headlights sits higher in the bottle so cant get the dregs out of the bottle.
On another note - what is UCH ? Seen it mentioned...
Clarkson started off by sl@gging it off, but he does that with everything, and ended up praising it. And the stig showed what it could do. Only 0.5 seconds that a Golf Mk4 R32...
Yes as said, had to pester them a bit but that could be all Insurance Companys. In fact the claim is still on going and ive left them, ive been paid out but am awaiting my excess and personal injury, thats all been handled by the solicitors.
Wouldn't it be easier to just ring them and get a quote, or do it online ?
I was with Flux for 3 years, people say they are a knightmare to claim off, I had to claim and yes I had to chase them up a bit as they were dragging their heels, but i think thats the same for all insurance companys!
I...
the skyline will be registered before the new tax rules came in play (2001 IIRC) Now its all done on Emissions, tis gay though that a 172/182 is the same as a Hummer!
Ok i noticed something very strange on my 172 today. With the lights on when I wash the windows the lights will usually wash, but today they didnt, so as i knew it had been a while since i last filled my washer bottle, i filled it. And guess what as soon as I did my headlight washers started...
Hi all,
Im after a set of BLACK mats for my 172 - Nothing too fancy just plain black if possible and with fitting points to secure to car, or some decent anti slip on the bottom of them.
I've seen the Group Matz and dont fancy spending anywhere near that. There are some sets on Ebay for around...
If you speak to your old insurer they will post out your proof of no claims which you can send onto Elephant. Its unlikely Elephant will cancel your policy, but if you dont prove your NCB then they are likely to charge you the full price as if you had had a quote with to NCB. Now depending on...
One further question... You know the display screen in the clio, if i put in an aftermarket stereo, i imagine i'd lose the bit that says "RADIO 1" etc.... but will it still show the clock and temp guage or will i lose the lot ?
Also, I dont have the keys to remove the standard CD player - any ideas ?
And.... (sorry) do i need a surround for an aftermarket stereo or is the standard one standard size, looks to be but just checking
Dave
Hi all, Do i need a specific adaptor to install an after market headunit into a 172 ? Do i need an ISO Adaptor? Im not bothered about losing the steering wheel controls.....
Badger
Just had a go at trying to get a good 0-60 time out of my 172, but my start was seriously slowed down by the damn traction control, turning it off just generates lots of smoke...
What is the ideal rev's to hold at before dropping the clutch and going for it ? I had a couple of go's with my mate...
http://www.renault-spare-parts.com/ which is Matt Blacks place, has a complete headlamp unit for £175 which it says includes Ballast's but there out of stock at the minute, Would this include the Resistor?
A couple of weeks ago I posted about a problem with my passenger side Xenon light, I've had it in Renault and they have diagnosed the fault as a BALLAST RESISTOR, now to replace this part they want £269 (Parts, Labour + VAT) Thats on top of the £59.22 they have charged me today to find out...
^^^^ Agreed. You havent said how much of the car you financed and over how long a term. Once you know for sure how much you owe, you can review your options.
Checked prices with renault and fuses on car, and listened for humming! Renault strangely say that there is only a bulb or a relay (see above), so where does the starter come into the equation?
And the park from Matt Black is the complete unit, it says it has bulb and ballast, but does it the...
