    the best way is to use a c.r.o. other wise you need to set it to what your pre-out voltage of your head unit is

    but the cone doesn't flex. it is more likely to blow after it is bedded in due to the roll and spider being less taught. still doesn't explain it blowing after 30 mins of being installed

    they must be uprated speakers as the oem tweeter has a built in HPF so it will only play high frequncies(sp)

    how would having a ex-display make it blow up in 30 mins??? a speaker would take years to "wear out". tbh it sounds like who ever installed it fucked up imho.

    yeah you will have to lose the rear speakers as you will put extra load on the h/u' internal amp and it will then probably overheat and keep cutting in and out.

    people need to think the gain as a multiplyer and NOT a volume control you can get full power out of an amp with gain on minimum. so it shouldn't just be guessed at.

    i bought one of these (but from a different seller)to try ubuntu out on and it works a treat and is pretty quiet came to £95 inc p+p
