am I right that all 172s and 182s have same brake discs I have a 182FF and potentially buying some brake discs from a 172 cup I know the hub spacing is different, but would brake discs be the same

don’t think magifoam will be that bad, lots of good reviews and recommendations. Obviously as a detailer you would only use world class products
