are you using a a trip switch instead of a fuse now?
a 40A fuse and say a 60A trip with both operate at the same current
are there any fuses on the amp???
are you showing the amp too low an impeadance?

i have a sports cat on my car and the toxic fume light came on
had the emissions checked and the guy in the garage said they were very low so it may have a sort of lo/hi level alarm which puts the light on

seems strange that the starter packs would have a side to be fitted:confused:
if the starter keeps trying to fire across the lamp it will f**k the lamp aswell
