if you really want to do it in about a min disconnect them both and then touch them together

well it can be done you use existing cable going to rear speakers then run an extra pair to each and connect them to the front output to the tweeters and the exsisting to the mids

3-way just means i run just the front comps from all four channels of the h/u the best way to go is run the rears from hu then the fronts and sub from an amp

thermal regulation is whats causing the sound to go crap next time it happens fade it to the front an see what it sounds like then used to happen on my 9815 until i wired it for 3-way operation and it is fine all day on 24(unless i've got the 12's on full tilt then it's down to 23 as the thats...

the front speakers are components seperate mid and tweet with a very crude x-over front comps would be the best upgrade

yeah just get two 10's with dual 4 ohm voice coils 230wRMS for a ten aint going to be too bad (the JL w0's are "only" 125wRMS) try asking cad how much two 10" w1v2's are in 8 ohm voice coil
