you can get connectors that dont break the wire just the insulation but can't remember the name of them

i've got a 100 cell sports cat on my 1.6 and it just passed the mot and the light is on for emissions warning but you would probably need a 200 for a 182 mine was fitted by charlie @ pro speed and he gets his from here

i don't see how that works but i'd imaging it would be a pain to get to personally i'd just run fron the switched live at the hu rather than a switch as you still have to remember to switch it off

not really an easy thing to do as i'd have to do a while you wait service at their location because you couldn't drive the car without the dials

is it a small cable?? because it will catch fire if the only fuse is the one by batt

get it fused asap get a small inline fuse holder and put on the leg from the + to the switch with something like a 1A fuse

so you have got a wire going from your + on the amp to the switch and then back to the rem terminal on the amp?

has anyone else had this problem with there clio? never noticed before until now and need to know if there is a fix?:( also anyone know how to quieten an exhaust as mine is too loud lol

could be a few things my guess would be that the amp is clipping and going into protect to save your sub

bad earth could be at either the amp or the h/u

you need 10 leds altogether 2 for speedo and rev gauge 1 for fuel and temp and 4 for the display i got mine from here but just remember they are about the same size as the 5 on a 5 pence piece

yeah just some coloured opaque plastic should do and som bright leds

try earthing the chassis of the h/u. also power cable next to rca's is an urban myth

it is normally blue with a white stripe comming out of your h/u wiring with nothing on the end of it

you fitted a remote didn't you as you didn't say

yeah running in is not needed as such. it just means the suspention loosens up and might make it a little louder but doesn't stop it from melting coils

i used white ones on mine. the little display came out blue for some reason. i needed 10 on mine but others might be different
