You can use the high level input from an amp just using the normal speaker cable and extending it to the amplifier

The source should always be your priority to change, ie the headunit. You wont notice a massive difference in changing these other than they can handle the lower frequencies a tad better. The grills are normally a 1/4 turn. Yet to see a mk3 without the wiring in place but it wouldnt surprise me...

If hes referring to gateway editions add a 0 to the price of the aux lead, its all about what features you want. Just audio, control of it all from the stereo/stalks or even charging. Charging is available for just the aux in version also but this requires hardwiring Matt

Disconnect the mute wire, its an easy fix but why should you do it?

Hes attached the mute to the speed sensor input,earths the dial upon attempting to mute the stereo

update least cannot be put in a vehicle with tuner list, tuner list is resistive, update list is can bus, 2 completely different systems, just wont function

you cant crimp a used one on, you need to either replace the whole aerial cable or purchase a crimpable aerial end

yes, check the fuses and you should be sorted then once replaced

Does the stereo switch on with the ignition or only when you manually turn it on? Only way you can tell is by tapping a button and hearing a bleep, if its only by manual turn on should just be a fuse

Do you have the time or temp displayed? If not then its been disconnected
