Just bought the car? If nothing is displayed but you are getting a beep it sounds like someone had their own stereo in there and used the autoleads stalk adapter which means the display no longer works and when they put the original back in they couldnt be assed to connect it back up, the beep...
Tuner stereo originally in the v6? If so its the right one, ensure the blue cable is attached along with the yellow plug, if still not working either its faulty or the dash clock has been disconnected to fit an autoleads variant although you would know that as the display wouldve had nothing...
If its corroded itd cause a higher resistance causing the temperature to rise and melt the fuse holders in some cases. With the fuse holders having melted I wouldnt use it again
Get a multimeter meter/power probe on it buddy, check both the yellow and red cables for how they are powered with the ignition off, if there is no power then you either have a break in the wire or a fuse gone
Yes to the running rears on fronts.Will be causing you to be running at 2ohm, overheating the onboard amp, you might be lucky if you d/c the rear speaker cabling youve wedged in the amp may be ok but i highly doubt it
I think the Crystal is better than the equivalent Ck3100 however the MKi range imo are in a different league, so many more music options to choose from
