those subs have a sensitivity of 89dB (i have been looking);)

there is two plugs but it is the same wire.(im looking at the manual from the alpine website)

i really think the problem is with the people who tested it.
they should really look at buying some new test equipment and give people real readings with actual credabilaty IMHO
i thought it was just the hand brake that it needed to be connected to?
if so i believe you can just earth the cable some where so it thinks the handbrake is on all the time

it sounds like you will need a multimeter because if it didnt work with the way i said above there is probably something wrong
ground = black
red/yellow = ignition/battery(or vice versa)
blue white stripe is normally amp remote or power antenna if it just blue
illumination is normally orange
