gauge is the size of the cross sectional area of the copper part of the cable. yeah the cable from the battery to the amp.
its the important one because of the length of it
have the amps got any fuses in them?? to give an idea how much power they actually produce
whatever you do DONT buy a power cap
im lost is each sub getting the same amount of power?
what power output of the amps? what guage cable have you got from the batt?
depends on loads of things (RMS power of amps, size of your exsisting power cable etc)
are you going to use the second amp to power one of the subs:confused: ?
did you touch the remote down to earth? cos these will blow very easily
simple way to check is to put a small link between the positive and the remote terminals

i doubt you would do any damage to the amp (apart from surface damage) by touching cables together.
but you have probably blown the fuse by the battery
there are no x-overs as such as standard they just use a little capacitor to block the bass (usually mounted on the tweeter).
im sure it will be ok just to plug the speaker into the exsisting plug in the door.
the hole in the back of the speaker is ventilation for the voice coil so it does...

yes but you induce and equal amount on each rca. due to the fact the rca cables are together?
yes its from ripple free dc but it only cotains little amounts of ac that may cause a problem.
