could you not remove the thread out the bottom of a short one,get a bolt with the correct thread size,cut the head off,fibreglass the thread into the aerial,let it dry then fit it?
as the seats have no airbags youd have to just put resistors to the wiring for the airbag-thatll turn off the light once connected properly as it did with mine (i didnt have to rewire pretensioners though) ,the pretensioners you will have to retro wire in order to make them work still and then...
try just the rears on to see if the noise is there then just the fronts?helps narrow it down a bit.are your longer wheel bolts catching throught the threaded part into the hub?
they are very deep in comparison although is the clio glass not have a cut out for the speaker so it doesnt hit?been a while since i had mine.if not id say yes as my infinity's were much shallower and i seem to remember having to adjust the terminals on the back of the speaker so it wouldnt...

i love them and they dont have a huge cross over either just individual filters which connect inline
where have you read that it wont charge it with the 422i?the 433 isnt backward compatible unfortunately

alternatively you could buy an alpine lead to usb then use your ipod sync cable to charge it,but you wouldnt have ipod control or that adapter on the apple site would be ideal...
the wires go up to the sunroof and also connect up the clocl display so they do more than you realise,interior fusebox is passenger when you open door on side of dash
