pop out the ash tray then the whole thing which has the cups, then the panel above can be popped forward carefully using a flat head screwdriver (making sure not to mark) leaving enough room for the parrot blue relay box and even ipod adapter

im not too far from rugby, can supply and fit for you :)
as will6 says stick to alpine and pioneer if you want quality, maybe a tad more expensive but there is a reason
its the new system that bosch have designed in order to make less "clutter" in a car.2 wires that go all the way through every item telling them what to do instead 2 wires to 1,2 to another, less costs, etc

if he wants a sub he may aswell bin the rear speaker setup or as you have said lost volume for speakers and sub making it even less pointless to do with a reduced volume, you wont even hear the rears
your crossover for these is the built in filter on the tweeter, you cant upgrade to have crossovers,if you want to step up buy some new speakers time unfortunately,if you wanna get the most outta your current set up get some dynamat, etc and make what youve got better

ok on that image i posted above
block b pins 1 and 2 are right rear, connect the right line on the loc to this, then pins 7 and 8 connect to the left line on loc then black to earth
on the radio, i would say the red wire but with it being standard it wont be,either pin 4 or pin 7,varies on a few clios but should be 7
