Apart from them being £1200 each new, the bolt spacing is the same and the regular Cups. This won't be possible on non-Cup 182 as the hubs are different.
I think they've got it right comparing the 182 Cup with the 200 Cup. The 197Cup is too similar a car to the 200 under the skin, plus the 182 is the last of the old school hot hatches, hence old vs new. The 200 will win as it is a better all round car in todays market and likely to be faster...
I've recently replaced my discs with Brembo HC as they are cheaper than Renault and highly regarded but stuck with Renault pads. I didn't want squealing brakes that come with DS2500. The OE pads I have are Ferodo and seem more than adquate for enthusiastic fast road driving.engine
Funny, when I first joined this forum, people where discussing the same thing between the ph1 and the ph2 172. ;) For me, I prefer the look of the 200 over the 197 and plus it supposed to drive better too. I guess time/sales figures will tell....
Depends on what sort of exhaust you're after ie. loud or quiet. I'd recommend the Scorpion RS192 for a quiet system. I posted a fitting guide with some vids on the cliotrophy site.
You can buy Ferodo "Premier" from Halfords. Definitely not DS2500 or DS anything, though it says "oe quality" on the box, these aren't sold by the dealerships. Hope you didn't pay too much for them.
It's doesn't have washers as that car doesn't have xenon HID lights!! Dodgy advert, the interior pics doesn't match the car and the description is for car that Renault never officially made, ie a Cup exterior and FF interior. Call the seller and put him on the sport with a few probing...
Keep the Clio and buy a cheap 5 door if you can afford it. You'll/other half will do your back in getting the child in to the back, especially as they get bigger. Plus with 3 doors, as the doors are longer, in a tight space, eg, a regular parking supermarket parking bay (as all the family bays...
OK, contrary to what most people have recommended, according to the Haynes manual the bleed sequence for brakes is:
a. Left hand front
b. right hand front
c. left hand rear
d. right hand rear.
This is for 2001-2005 Clio with ABS. Just thought you might like to know. I think for non-ABS is...
I'd say its a fore gone conclusion that the Clio200 will win, as usual, the winner of a head to head is usually given away as the telephone competition prize. Still would be an interesting comparison though.
I like the new Clio200. IMO the PS'd images makes the Clio200 look like a pimped up Fiesta ST. OK the looks of the new Clio200 is an acquired taste and the splitter does have a hint of "Cherie Blaire" grin about it, but Renault have always made their cars look different from the rest of the...
I would have your new exhaust fitted before the remap to take full advantage of the exhaust and remap. That way you'll know it's specifically remapped for that setup and have the correct optimum fuelling.

I'm getting similar sort of thing with my brakes, not sure if it is a real problem as the car still brakes effectively. To save myself some typing, I've already posted this brake issue on the Clio Trophy site:

Some old names I've not seen in a while!!! There was someone who used to troll on here bragging about how much faster his ZS180 was and how many Clio's he beat in races. I think he was called, rather predictabily, 172 Slayer. A windup merchant of the highest order!!
Ben recently did a 36k service and aux belt change on my car using his voucher I bought in Nov. On the day of the service, I turned up to his garage but no one was there so gave him a call. He'd totally forgot about the service I booked. Though he was very appologetic, I still had to suggest...
Stava, if you're going to do a lot of track days, and you feel its worthwhile, then go for it. I'm not trying to talk anyone out from doing it. I did consider it, especially after the drive of my friends Glanza, but as I don't do a lot of track days (hope to do a few this summer) I can't...
