    Sound deadening

Well there are many different types of deadening. You're looking at barrier methods to remove the road noise, yet mass adding to dampen the vibrations. To remove that exhaust nosie, barrier it has to be, all across the floor of the car, the bootpan, firewall and inside the doors. To remove...

passive or active ? running own channel for tweeters

This really is a question of active or passive crossovers. Active crossovers require a standalone device (only a handfull (i'm struggling to think of 5 amps that don't) Or a fully active HU.). This basically separates the signal the tweeter amp recieves from that the mids will play (woofer as...

    Roof liner

Any tips on removing this and re-installing it? Haynes manual says leave it to the pro's. Can it really be that hard? I want to sound deaden my roof, i hear that it's bonded to the roof at the rear of the car. Do i need any special glue to reinstall it, or will the old stuff suffice? The glue...

    Starting problems - engine cranking

I assume from search that this could be due to the TDC sensor? How do i find that in my 1.2 8v? Is it worth a clean or just replace it? If replace where can i get the spare? I assume it's not too difficult to change, bare in mind i can fit inside the engine bay nearly :rasp: Battery is fine...

    audio advice on sub/amps

Fusion are pretty good tbh...... i'd be picking them over legacy any day of the week tbh. Just for info. Top of the range stuff: Orion, their amps do catch fire though.... RE - watch too much power through these, the tinsel leads have a tendancy to burn! DC audio - very good only heard one...

sub box sliding around in boot.

Disagree, smart arse luke. MT audio is correct. The only SAFE way is to bolt it down. Fact. You directly responded to this saying it was "not true". :dapprove:

Gearbox oil? Looked for leaks? You don't want a broken gearbox :p. I'm no mech but they've got to be expensive.

    Rear Mounted Turbos

Drop the attitude, if you were to put your hand across the exhaust manifold there would be a lot more pressure there, than at the back of the exhaust. Temperature drop across the pipe alone would cause a fair decrease in pressure. (as said above by Ben) As for having the throttle fully down. Ok...

    Rear Mounted Turbos

Sorry but even simple minded me say this is a no brainer. I put my hand across my exhaust and feel naff all airflow. You want to use this naff all airflow to spin up a turbo? You're mad! You don't use a length of wire thats 100meters off a spool as it's easier than cutting a 1 meter run do you?

It does raise the tuning, but when you design the box yourself. You can make allocation for the dispalcement of those batteries from the box. BBP6, is the program I use.

    Amp cooling fans...

Yup pins 86and 85 wont make any difference. It's DC and only the charging of a electromagnet at the end of the day so wont make any difference. Dunno wallop. This says different! Also you may need to add a diode inline with your remote cable to your relay incase it goes pear shaped you don't...

    Amp cooling fans...

It wont. I thought that was standard procedure, and it's what folk generally recommend on TA if you pop a search.

    Amp cooling fans...

You could. But i personally wouldn't as frying my HU remote cable is worth more to me than paying a £5 for a relay... Some Hu's may allow this current draw, but most wont! The remote is only meant to be enough to power a little dinky switch at the end of the day.
