    Amp cooling fans...

Yes if you want to start and stop the fan willy nilly then use that method. If you would like to have it on when you have the HU on, then off when your HU is of (you could still add a dead switch to control summer (hot days) and winter use). What normally is done is the remote cable is fed off...

    Standard Cd Player, Sub?

Surely he could series the convertor into the original loom to the rears, as opposed to parallel them. Thus raising impedance, and puting less a strain on his HU. Ok, he will lose volume on his rears, and on his convertor, but volume loss in the rear wont be great, and his gains can make up for...

    Alternators 1.4 fit 1.2

Basically back EMF is an electronic force which gets inherent in any moving electric object through a magnetic field ( motors or dynamos). So as you spin the object upto speed inside the field, a force acts to stop the object infinatly accelerating. Like when you run fast your legs get knackered...

    Alternators 1.4 fit 1.2

Back EMF's of the alternator (harder to turn basically). Along with other resistive forces. Basically for a given winding, the greater the current draw, the greater the back emf. So it's very much current draw dependant, however the additional weight of the windings to be a higher value (110...

    Alternators 1.4 fit 1.2

Nah, i know a lad who does rotary elecs for a living, he said that 250a would lose me about 10bhp. The quoted me £200 for an alt and another 200 for fitting, i said jog on! :P. Not bothered about performance loss tbh.

    Alternators 1.4 fit 1.2

Sweeet. Let me know if it fits. As basically i don't want to go out and pay £100 for a 110a alt to find it needs custom bracketry, whereas for £200 i could have had 200a alt as will still need custom bracketry!

How to tie down a Subwoofer

Yeh, wadding makes the sub think it's in a larger box (due to the compression of the air easier than compressing the wadding). However it also dampens the box, so you slightly lose a bit of DB on your peak (2db ish). Yet you easily gain that back from bottom end with the sub thinking it's a...

As haynes manual..... Back of HU on loom, LH front (can't give you polarity sorry) : Beige and pink RH front (polarity again, don't know, sorry) : Green and brown These are also the colours that go to both the mids and tweeters too. Removing Plastic Cover inside Tailgate

Open boot. Top right corner, i believe, on the plastic is a single small sized torx screw, remove that and carefully remove the plastic from clicky things (like those in a door card). I just ran my hand around the edge once i had removed my screw, then just eased it away.

    Audio Electronic Help please.

There is no divide. Just engine off and HU on (so ignition on) then you will get 12v from the remote. When engine is running you'll get 14.4 from the remote cable (well you shoudl) All this does is click a relay within the amp. SO basically more than likely the amp is knackered if you have 14.4...
