OK so ive not bothered washing her because i simply cannot be bothered,
since i don't need a car to get to college, and im going uni in september so i wont need a car at all, i decieded to buy something hideously impractical....just for the giggles!
but shes coming along nicely from the state...
changing gear is feeling more and more like a pudding spoon in gravey!
there is so much movement left to right in each gear,
and first and second seemed to have moved so far to the left that you have to push hard left to find them! (as well as reverse!!)
would changing my linkage solve this...
i want to spray my interior the same colour as the car,
i could go halfords for the paint but they seem very overpriced!!
is there anywhere else i could go to get 449 paint.
it doesnt have to be a great match tbh, since the car has probs faded quite a bit over the years! could just go with...
Ok since buying my valver, it has always had horriffic bump steer!!
going over bumps or uneven roads, the car pull violently in either direction,
happens the least when accelerating and can happen easily when braking.
since buying the car i have replaced,
Shocks
Ball joints
Wishbone bushes...
can this be done to a valver bonnet??
and before anyone flames me, the bonnet is carbon fibre,
its just gone very very dull (i was offered it at a price i really couldnt refuse)
after feeling how light it is, i really want to use it over my standard bonnet with has to be held on by bonnet...
I was driving tonight and all of a sudden I go to brake and they're incredibly soft, the pedal goes all the way to the floor before I get any braking!
So I pull over to look for leaks and such and see nothing, five minutes pass and my friend tries the pedal, its completely back to normal...

ive managed to get the locking bolt looose,
but cant seem to budge the rod end from the track arm!!
is there any tips to doing this??
or shall i use heat and patience??
thanks
alex
As above really,
i have a carbon bonnet, but i want to convert to bonnet pins for quick and easily removal.
however i dont really want to be drilling/cutting straight into carbon fibre because im scared of splitting it!
using the same callipers with this kit

would it make a noticable difference in braking performance??
over using the same products but sticking with 260mm discs?

My valver is compeltely stripped at the rear,
no door cars,
no carpet,
no headlining,
no sound deadening,
i was wondering if i should lower the tyre pressure on the rear since its not really carrying any weight at all!
any suggestions
Parked down a side road in westcliff,
the one way road with loads of humps that spits out near the palace theatre!!
i chuckled to myself when i saw the cliosport.net sticker!

not mine, but spotted this on the bay,
might tickle someones fancy!
sitting here at 2am knowing that half of the torrential rain outside will end up inside the car!
FML and my leaking sunroof!
is there anyone else out there that cringes for their cars sake when it thunders down with rain??
So im bascially going to have to replace every consumable,
every semi consumable and other parts in my F7R valver.
I was hoping someone could give me some advice what parts i should be getting
and whats just over priced crud??
im looking at getting the following...
I go to get in my car this morning.
Turn the key first click......radio comes on fine
Second click....everything comes to life and you can hear the pump prime,
Third click.......nothing.
little whine from the starter motor, and you can hear the fuel pump loose power,
but no crank??
its been...
Upon acceleration, car is fine,
When letting off and coasting, the car seems to feel unstable, like it wants to jump into the nearest ditch, pulling all over the road in different directions.
When hard braking it is even worse, have to really be on the ball if you break hard as it can pull...
Car will be fine for,
then all of a sudden it will feel very limp and then the back back to normal a second later.
If it happens in first or second gear, you go kangarooing (SP) off down the road,
basically it seems the engine is not firing on either one or two cylinders for a few seconds...
im completely redoing my interior, as the just threw in the interior from my previous clio, and picked the cage up cheap, i now was to make it look nice.
the buckets are getting binned for some black side mounted buckets,
i want to paint the entire interior (all the way up to the dash)
but...
Go to start my clio this afternoon after leaving it from about 9 last night....
nothing,
unlocked fine, radio came on, feul pump primed,
turned to start the engine, and just a little click came from the starter motor!
its never done this all winter, its always started first time, every...
Went to help a mate out this evening, and had to swing by his mates house,
who competes in the formula2000 with his own team.
I took some snaps of the car, and the workshop,
sorry for the quality of my phone pics, workshop wasnt very big!
Now the more eagle eyed enthusiast will...
Contisport contact 2, 195/45/15 £332 fully fitted.
1.Already tested by a mate, and they seem fantastic,
2.Extra point for being 45 profile (i prefer the look)
3.Though they cost more, i have 3 budget 195/45/15 in the garage in case of emergency, and may save my skin if im having a tight month...
Without commenting on value for money,
what are the best tyres to go for??
on a modded valver that does mainly country road blasts,
looking at contisport 2's, but at £370 for a set, i thought id do some shopping first,
so what can people recommend? spending <£100 per corner?
thanks
alex
