Is there any go to place people in Essex use for machining 197 callipers to fit under 15s?
Better yet does someone on here do it in exchange for my nudes?

Where to people tend to go for their welding work? (ideally in Essex).
Things i was thinking was:
Seat bars
Roll cage
Polybush sleeves
I guess my concern is a lot of typical garages would not really understand what you are asking for.
Has anyone run into a problem with some "float" in their vibra-technics gearbox mount? Effectively when everything is tight, there is some up/down play of the mount.
The problem i seem to have is that the spindle gearbox mount is too long, and the large washer on the top of the mount bottoms out...
So in the process of removing the heat shields to get the linkage out, a number of either the shields or the bolts snapped.
I am wondering, on a track car, if there is really much need for them, especially if you can use a heat wrap on the exhaust.

Wow its been a long time since i posted on here!! mainly because my track project was put into my nans garage and forgotten while i was at uni and couldnt afford to do much with it.
I know the cup racers are fully subframe mounted. a lot of people subframe mounted their engines in mk1 clios...
i want to jet wash the front and back of my engine, and the subframe,
if i remove the alternator, inlet mani, tape up the inlets and dont wash the rocker cover.....
what problems might i make for myself?? and should i just NOT do it??

So i moved out of my parents house and it seems within the first few months, the area ive moved into has taken its toll!
it looks like someone had put something very heavy on the roof of my car, and i found it bent right in (including the support bar that runs through the middle of the roof)...
Sounds like my aux belt its squeaking a bit,
but its very tight, im almost scared to tighten it up more encase its knackers a bearing somewhere!!
is there anything else that can make an aux belt sqeak other than incorrect tension?!
For the second time, one of my clios has spat one of the rear pads out!
im pretty sure im installing them correctly, but theyre a terrible design imo.
Perhaps im missing something, but theres nothing stopping the little L shaped strip from working its way inwards far enough for the outer pad...
and maybe changing the rear bumper as the exhaust has made a complete state of it!
few other niggles to work through, aux belt is squeaking and i cant seem to work out why, looks like the crank pulley is wobbling which really isnt a good sign!

so finally driving my ph1 172 on the road to iron out the kinks!!
and my most pressing issue is a very loud banging coming from the near side front suspension!
first i thought it was the ph1 airbox knocking around as it feels like something loose banging against something! but ive since fixed...

Ok so since getting my car it had the cam cover lug thats meant to bolt to the lower inlet mani snapped off!!
stupidly i forgot this today and when i tried to tighen the braket that goes above it on.....BANG, the lug snapped off that too!!

im upgrading my brakes to HC discs CL pads and braided lines. i obviously now will need to change my brake fluid. From searches i think im going to go for ATE superblue fluid, but my question is how much...
So ive relocated my battery to the boot, and binned all the metal casing over the ecu so that it can be layed down on top of the gearbox mount like all the other track cars!
my issue is just that i cant find a suitable way of fixing it down!!

Just wondering what the legallity was on having a sinlge wiper centrered in the middle of the windscreen? Obviously its illegal to have your vision obstructed, but does this cover wipers as well??

Im aware that you can get an MOT to cover you only for daytime use, and will therefore not need headlights.
my question however is, with a regular MOT, can you remove the headlights and fit headlight blanks, providing youre only driving in the daytime??

Does anyone know if the aux pulley on the crank from an F7R will fit on an F4R engine??
they seem the same fitament and offset but wanted some advice from someone who knew a lot about both engines?!
the F7 pulley is quite a bit smaller and less bulky and therefore may be a lightweight...
I was planning on putting 1degree of camber on the rear of my track project...
however when i look on the rear, it already looks like this!!
now it doesnt look as much in the picture, but this is quite a bit of camber on the rear.

first one for a clio was new, and therefore funny/original!!
the second for a focus was so abstract that it topped the first!!

i did a search but it only came up with a dead link unfortunatley!!
so does anyone know where i can get eyelets with the correct size thread to screw them into the b-pillar as the ones i have are a 7/16" thread which is slightly too big!! :(
