New to Clio Sport - Just picked up a 182 FF

Saw you earlier tonight, going up Stirling Road. I was running down the pavement. Car looked good !

Stone's 172 Cup (member berries) track build...

I do like a 200 but the Cup does look pretty awesome next to it.

    My 1 owner 172 cup

Looking good. I use C4 also and find that it works well. Fabric paint will make the bulkhead look 100 times better also! 👍🏻

    Rusty’s Titanium 182 take 2!

Great work Mate. That will be very satisfying when complete !

    Illiad blue V6 255 #248

Fair enough mate. I’m not familiar with the underside of a V6. Sounds like it will be no trouble to resolve then 👍🏻

    Illiad blue V6 255 #248

Absolutely nothing to worry about ? Leave it like that for two years? Erm, I’m not sure I agree with the guy who suggested that mate. Didnt you check the underside of the car when purchasing? Hardly a credit to the previous owner if the car is rotten. Especially in places that are well known...

Giving a 172 Cup some TLC

Yes, I’m sure the previous owners wouldn’t recognise the car.

Massive update today! I changed the side repeaters. I like The contrast of the orange against the blue plus my car is a 52 plate so it’s supposed to have orange ones as far as I know.

    Illiad blue V6 255 #248

Would be interested to hear more about the full Dinitrol treatment, I assume you just mean a full under body protection sealant ? My Clio is pretty solid underneath but undersealling is something I’ve been tempted to have a go at myself as rust Is my one paranoia with my Clio for some reason...

    Stu's Sunflower Ph1 172.

Seeing those pics just about makes me greet Stu! What an absolutely terrible state of affairs. Are there any painters courses starting at the local College in the New Year? You may as well enrol and paint the bloody thing yourself. On the plus side, surely this means you have room for a...

Giving a 172 Cup some TLC

Not much progress on the car front. It’s parked up for what will probably be the majority of the winter. Had my first flat battery the other day so managed to source a Battery charger/trickle charger from @Euan Baguette. I have a few recent purchases that will go on the car over the winter...

Some little details today. New license plates, Bumper stickers and Cup badges (these were squint from the factory weren’t they!) Still have the Renault Sport badges to fit to the boot.

    Jethro's Trophy on the market

Totally agree, one of the few Car Journalists I actually pay attention to.

    Jethro's Trophy on the market

He put up a post on IG months ago that he had sold it to a Dealer friend. I’m not sure the reason for selling he gave rung true. Needs funds for an engine rebuild? He is the Host on TopGear USA. He can’t be short of a bob or two ! It was always nice to hear him speak so fondly of his Trophy...

Giving a 172 Cup some TLC

Thanks. It certainly made a huge difference and makes it feel like a proper car again, rather than one that had quite obviously been neglected.

No mate, they were from Dave Stuart. I’ve since sold them on 👍🏻

Giving a 172 Cup some TLC

Yes, I know you were mate. Sorry for any confusion. I tried to buy his car before I bought my Cup !

Giving a 172 Cup some TLC

It’s actually a very clean, fairly low mile example. It was the motivation for me to buy mine.

Looking good James. Must be very cool to be able to pull that out of the garage now and then! Will look forward to your updates.

Giving a 172 Cup some TLC

Yeah mate but to be honest they look like they will last one wash before they fall off again ! Actually pretty shocked at how cheap and nasty the door badges feel. Ive got the correct badges for the boot also but will need time and patience to get them lined up properly. Thankfully my bro...
