Beeping definitely means there is, or the car thinks there is a door/boot/bonnet still open.
Not sure about the specifics of a Ph1 but check the bonnet alarm sensor, door sensors and boot sensor. I’d be looking for things like, you open the door and the interior light doesn’t come on. A sure...
Nice one Mark. This looks like it has loads of potential!
I will be very interested to watch the progress after trying to do something similar with my Cup.
Yours looks like a great car as it stands so I’ll look forward to seeing what you do with it.
Cool. The reason I thought that was that I was watching Harry Metcalfe’s old review of his Trophy the other day and he specifically mentions that the wheels are lighter than standard. He must mean lighter than standard 182 wheels.
Quite a difference in height eh! Looks good Although I do enjoy the standard ride height on a Cup!
Interesting to hear your thoughts on the Yokos. Ive got PS3s on mine and they arent cheap but are very good.
Hi Ian,
Great to hear about the updates. They must make a huge difference and will make the car even more enjoyable to drive I'm sure.
I've used that exact Touch up paint for a scuff on one of my mirrors and it looks pretty good to me. With these things, I think the rule of thumb is to put...
Cheers mate.
I did do some googling and there was an article on the Autoglym website specifically about removing stains from matte paint and they recommended their fast glass cleaner. Needless to say, it doesnt work!
Quick question for you guys, maybe this is the wrong thread but hey ho.
What is the best product to clean the matte bump strips along the side of my 172 Cup? They have been painted recently and looked really good to begin with but after a few washes of the car, they now look like they are...
I totally agree with Rusty. I dont think there is such a thing as a “cheap“ Clio anymore. Well, certainly not one that is worth buying.
Gone are the days of getting some minted, lower miles and owner car for under 3k. I know there will be lots of people disagreeing with me but any time I see...
Cheers Colin,
Yeah, the exhaust is a funny one. It’s definitely not very stealth but it is solid and the mounts aren’t sagging.
When I got the Sports Cat fitted ( at a very well respected Custom Exhaust place near me ) I said to the guy that I wanted the exhaust positioned up behind the bumper...
Update time.
The Cup has been spending some time at its second home getting some more bits and bobs done.
Finally got the Headlight Washer blanks fitted, this is the 3rd pair we tried as the genuine ones and the first pair of Repros were miles out for some reason. Absolutely no way we could...
I’ve got a KTEC stealth with a sports cat, centre box and the back box. It’s a great bit of kit quality wise and it’s ok noise wise when driving round town etc. It is however, a complete joke at motorway speeds. Extremely boomy and far too loud for me.
No doubt a great car for the right person. Not sure vapour blasting one part is the correct move.
I think you have to either leave the car as is or tart up the whole engine bay. You cannot ask top money for something and have silly things like the 12 quid battery terminal cover missing.
Good...
I do like a 197. The Aero kit and spoiler dont really do it for me but that’s just personal taate.
I must be weird to think 197s look cool with no wing on the back.
