Worth buying one of these for commuting to Uni every day, going to be doing about 400 miles a week and my clio's getting on a bit. Bit more poke than the 1.2 I'm used to or just about the same? Any common faults I should look out for when buying?

Going price seems to be sub 7K, good buy if you fancy having a CAT D, repairs seem to be good quality as well...

Spotted at Morrisons in Glenrothes today at about 6, non standrad wheels and has a non-recessed aftermarket exhaust.

What are they like over a long distance, had a test drive with one fitted yesterday and while it was loud but bearable it was only for 20 minutes. Any sound clips are appreciated as well. What are they like for say driving for an hour or so?

Did you compromise? I've been loking at a few and there all either, high milers, poorly specc'd, wrong colour, or fecking miles away or a Trophy ;) So did anyone compromise when buying there's and get one in the wrong colour or travel the length of the country for one?

Recently took this off my car as I found out it been cosing the car's erratci behaviour, i.e idling by itself and going into limp mode. Am I likely to get any other problems now that it's missing?

Just had a text from the cousin to say that 3 of the PE2's on his 182 have blown out and his had to have the car transported home. Now I've never heard of anything like this happening and as yet don't have any pics, but just wondering if anyone else had this hapen to them?

Car doesn't respond but will rev to 2K and stay there without me touching the pdeal, have to restart the engine and rev the car a couple of times to clear it. Previously solved this by removing the anti-theft thing from the block and covering it in tape to prevent it chomping through the loom...

As above, pretty sure the clutch has gone after 74K, how much am I looking at to replace this? Cars a Mk2 Ph2 1.2
