Up the front of the car it sounds normal. Around by the backbox area it is really noisy but I cannot see it leaking and it looks standard to me.

Bass is set to 4 out of 8 on the HU with treble at 6. It's only when certain songs come on that the passenger speaker really struggles. Surely if I set the bass to low then i'd have no bass at all?

I put my Pioneer head unit in today - 50 w x 4 and it appears to have seen off the front passenger speaker lol. I'm not fussed as I was intending to swap them anyway. Is it possible to get any degree of bass from a 13cm speaker? How hard is a sub install in a standard 172? Cheers

My standard exhaust seems to be leaking somewhere. When it's cold it is fine but when it warms up it's pretty loud. Have to have the radio on 25 lol. I'm thinking about going down the stealth route and like the decat idea but is there anyway of having a quiet decat? Are the stealth exhausts...

Hi, I am looking at chucking the standard 172's headunit for my Pioneer DEH-55BT that I have in my Saxo. Are the standard door speakers any good? Could you also point me in the direction of what is needed for my HU to keep the steering stalk? Cheers.

False alarm guys. I left it on oil ok and believe it or not after 30 secs it went off. Me pressing the stick to clear the oil ok must have been clearing the trip data. Ahh well, atleast I don't need a new battery :)

Yes it does it everytime I start it. The Oil OK does not automatically clear, I have to press the stalk to make it go away. Is this normal?

Hi there, Recently purchased a 172 and when I turn it on the Oil OK does not clear, I have to press the stalk to bring up the mileage. The trip also resets itself everytime I drive it. Any ideas? Battery? Cheers.

Rang up the dealer who sold it to my previous owner. The belt has been done :D It had a new engine in November just before the previous owner purchased it. Reason - cambelt went.

It was purchased on the 11th of November 2008.

It's booked in at Four Ashes on Wednesday. I gave it some beans on the way home, couldnt resist it lol. It's tucked up in the garage at the moment so it will not be used until Wednesday. The last owner purchased it from a Renault main dealer. Surely they would do the belt? Maybe worth giving...

I have given Four Ashes and Birchdown a bell this morning. Birchdown are pretty much fully booked until the end of the month and Four Ashes cannot fit me in until the end of next week. I have tried giving TCR a ring but no answer. Who else is there in the Midlands?
