Exhaust

The exhaust on my 172 is really noisy when it is warm.

It looks like the standard system and looks in very good condition but it is so damn noisey when it is warm.

It's rather raspy and backfired the other day yet it does not appear to be leaking.

Would an emissions light come on if the cat had gone?

Standard exhaust and good condition in the same sentence, now there's an oxymoron if I ever heard one!

Up the front of the car it sounds normal.

Around by the backbox area it is really noisy but I cannot see it leaking and it looks standard to me.
