right..............swapped them last night........................don't understand...................it was REALLY easy.............last time i replaced one it took about an hour :/ I am usually screaming "THAT BLOODY CLIP".....yeah, you know the one.
anyway, i thought there was a difference...
Hey Greeny, cheers for the update. Was you injector mucking about enough to cause the car to miss hugely when driving hard occasionally?
I have also had the car completely cut out while driving of late
J
Right gang. Still here. Still misfiring occasionally only now, I would say it is happening more often.
If i popped on the RSTuner and did a live data grab of everything while i went for a little drive and it misbehaves, do you think any of you guys would be able to eyeball it in case anything...
Put a spot of paint on the inner and outer portion of the crank pulley on either side of the rubber.
Drive it for a bit or until you hear the noise again.
Take a look and see if the dots are no longer in line
If not, crank pulley
Thats a bad picture...........looks like one part. The shiney blue one on the new loom goes into the shiney blue one on the new sensor.
You then cut the old black plug off and splice in the new loom (yellow wires in that pic)
Right.............so...................took the car for a run and noted the light hesitation at part throttle, lumpy/clumsy return to idle and the "gasp for air / revs drop / interior light dims" when I quickly press the pedal from idle in neutral.
Came home, stripped it apart and had a good...
Liked.............although I shouldn't as now I am wholly depressed.........lol
So yeah.......that rotational noise has been there for a while now, especially under load etc. Its more "gaunchy" (not sure if word) but no knocking. The knocking is new. The gearbox whines, grumbles...
Hi team,
So the Clio has developed an irritating (and concerning) knock in what seems like the front passenger suspension but I have had the lot stripped right down and I cannot find play in anything.
I appreciate that with the weight of the car, we can be talking about a tiny bit of play that...
I would generally agree bud but the recent ECP codes have brought some of the brands such as Bremi down to like 35 and so on. Think the Reno stuff is nearer the hundred mark isnt it.
I hear what you are saying though. I do like to put genuine in where possible but I am almost treating this as a...
So, haven't had any cut outs lately, just horrid idle where if i touch the pedal it stalls.
I still feel the slight hesitation but what I have noted is that it is an part pedal only. WOT there is no hint of it.
If I were to do an RSTuner live capture of data (all values) and replicate the part...
Ok, so I pulled the TDC sensor last night and gave it clean (as quite a few of you seem to do) and it is one of the older non-blue ones.
Wasn't really dirty per-se but I don't exactly know what sort of dirt you guys clean off. Looked a bit like a rust coloured dust......anyhoo......worst...
Hey Darren, might take you up on that offer buddy....will keep you posted. Thank you.
Jeff, I have no option. This is THE only car I have.......I don't know what else to say.
With regards to coast starting, I do the safest thing I can and pull over. To clarify, it is not stalling between gear...
Hey guys,
Sorry to bump this again but the car cut out on me twice this morning when on the way to drop the kids to school.
Wouldn't be that big a deal if the PAS wouldn't require Thor like efforts once the car cuts out.
As soon as I pulled up to stop, the car can be restarted instantly...
Hi guys.
Hope someone can advise or help.
Worst possible timing but was just starting out in the car the other day and heard the wrong kind if jingle this season as a bit of one of my front springs hit the road :(
This is a daily drive for me so is important to have on the road.
Had a look...
