Could be the head gasket. Have you looked at the oil? If there's creamy gunk in there, you may be in trouble.

I actually really like the Twingo. It's not quite quick enough, though, but I can understand why it's not as otherwise it'd eat into Clio RS sales.

Peugeot engines are pretty good, it's the rest of it you have to worry about! Although, build quality for all marques have improved drastically over the last 8-10 years. I can't imagine it'll be anywhere near as fun to drive as the Clio, though.
