I don't either personally, but I believe consumers should have as much choice as possible. I just don't agree with it in principle.
The comparison of PC gaming is a bit disingenuous though - you make a trade-off of not being able to resell it by the fact it's so cheap to start with (especially...
Most of my friends owned a PS2 before the 360, not an original Xbox, and jumped ship because the 360 was so much better than the PS3 initially. I think people will gravitate towards whatever their friends will buy. It's all down to the early adopters. Who are mainly people who watch E3...
That's on the list, but to be honest at the moment I think I'd buy the PS4 if it were double the price of the Xbone.
No DRM, so you can lend, sell, give away your games whenever you like to whomever you like. This shouldn't be a feature, but Microsoft have made it one.
No internet connection...
I have a broad interest in gaming in general - it's fascinating watching the whole situation unfold!
If you'd asked me two years ago, I'd be giving Microsoft a blank cheque for their new console. It's amazing how much of an own goal their PR department have made here. It reminds me of Sony...
No you won't. I have a friend who regularly takes his 360 with him to wifi-less hotels for work (and sometimes can't get a 3G signal either). He will not be able to do this with the X-bone.
The RRP of games will most likely go up, not down. Spiralling development costs will be cited as the...
PC gaming is very different. For a start, games are a lot cheaper. Secondly, you can play them offline. Thirdly, the platform you play them on won't be obsolete in five years time.
I could go on, but won't. ;)
Microsoft kills game ownership and expects us to smile

I don't care so much about raw power and figures per se, but it's interesting to see how underpowered it seems like it's going to be. That would really put me off getting any multiplatform games on the Xbox. Remember how poorly the PS3 games compared to the Xbox 360 in the first couple of years...
Which games have you played? So far I've played MLB The Show 13 (pretty much like the main console game just with slightly worse graphics); Velocity Ultra (a fantastic shoot 'em up); Rayman Origins (brilliant platformer that's essentially the same as the home console version); God of War: Ghost...
Yes, I did understand - it just seemed pretty irrelevant considering I'm only quoting from sources that have historically been very accurate at predicting things, not Yahoo!
Also, I'm 'worried' in the loosest possible term, because if the Xbox is awful I'm platform-agnostic enough not to worry...
That's funny, because I'm not a Sony fanboy at all, but I'm loving it. Maybe it's because I never owned a PS1 or PSP that I'm enjoying playing the back catalogue on the move.
And the PS+ free stuff, of course. Both Gravity Rush and Velocity Ultra are oustanding. Looking forward to giving...
There are plenty of good games on it, you're just not looking hard enough.
I picked up one of these last week for £125 on Amazon Warehouse deals. It really is an impressive bit of kit. It'll be excellent playing PS4 games using Remote Play when the wife wants to watch telly.
Also it seems that 3GB of its 8GB DDR3 RAM is reserved for the OS and apps - that's a huge amount. In comparison, the PS4's 8GB GDDR5 uses 1GB.
This is pretty worrying.
Even 1080 isn't all that much to shout about these days, considering anyone with a MacBook Pro Retina can play games at 2880p. That being said, if the new consoles get all their games running at 1080p*60 then it'll be a massive improvement.
I think a lot of people had faith in Sony after the successes of the PS1/PS2 and look how that turned out.
I think any company seems to struggle with their third console. Complacency, maybe?
