And this is why we have sky high insurance premiums in the uk.... without the car being properly insured you cannot drive it under the "third party" part of your existing policy, and if you legally own the car you also cannot use that part of the policy......
Drive like a t**ser and youll...
Think youre a bit ott there mate, Im with them, 172 stripped, no airbags, throttle bodies conversion, separate ecu, buckets, eibachs blah blah blah and Im with them for only £760 odd ... onw that aint bad.... its just that different people get quoted differently from different insurers... such...
Yup I did this in 2002 when I got mine, I argued with Renault about them saying in one piece of material about the sat nav that it did tmc, and so I got the value refunded - but I dont think I have the details anymore of what thing it was said in Im afraid.
Hmmm I think itll be for some other reason cos Id guess that the renault sat nav which I have hooks into the same one as your using.....
So well just wait and see.... Im gonna try this reset out and see what it does for my trouble LoL
Apparently a reset can help this problem, but there must be an underlying cause, as I have this problem on my 172 (with the throttle bodies conversion).
Anyway, in a previous thread it was said that you should reset everything by holding down the reset on the dash panel whilst turning on the...
As long as you dont bounce off the limiter all day every day itll be fine dude, get it right and start just say hitting the limiter before gearchange :-D
Ive got a Williams 1 and an 02 plate 172 with throttle bodies, completely separate ecu, decat, stripped, cobra buckets, eibach springs...... erm... and stuff I cant remember LoL
All they have sold you is a resistor, they want you to put this into the connector that normally connects to your inlet temp sensor, thus telling the ecu a constant temp instead the actual temp - very pants and the more people who know about this scam (as that is all it is) the better well all...
well cost price is about 1p so yes you have been done, throw it away and forget it, if anything it could harm your car, it certainly wont give you more power - if you want proper power have a look in the exterior/power/mechanical forum.
Oh oh......
so this little "chip", it wouldnt have two thin wires coming off it would it?
...and coloured stripes around it?

OMG are you for real? it takes a split second to look at it, and mine is in a very easy to view spot and is a large display, anyway, Fred was reading the gps had to give him something to read in order to distract him from the cars rushing by us LoL
148 on the flat and still pulling, clocked by gps, Fred was in the car, so was the spare wheel/toolkit and some random crap - so not striped bare, and it was pulling like a train - still another 1000 on the revs to go too - if only I had a bigger private strip to run it on.
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Bugger - now I aint normally a fan of heavily modified cars, but that one was different, a bit of a cry back to a different time in a way.... it was real - not stick of plastic crap - twas a proper metal mod - the time and effort put in was great and the results really said it all - damn shame...
Dont see a problem with it, the vauxhall v6 lumps are small block and I dont see why someone couldnt put one in, a fair bit of work to do it, but no wy impossible.
As for the fact that hes mentioned a Greddy turbo, well, just because they make stuff purely for the Jap car market doesnt mean...
Ok Im gonna tidy this up now and get rid of all the Nice Jolly Comments thats been going on lol
Now tidied - lets not mess it up again eh lads?

Id have thought that you could splice into the cd changer cable if you so wished and switch out the audio from the changer and switch in the audio from an xbox/ps2 etc.... I havent studied the cable at all but Id be fairly sure it could be done - levels would have to be checked but it would give...
Even after the "usage" period (and seem to remember it used to be 6 months reather than three) you can still present the cheque, but the bank will communicate with the originating bank account holder to verify that it is still valid to use etc.
Remember in normal running the reserve fuel tank is ALWAYS full, so youve always got 1 gallon of fuel which you are carrying but never normally using...
Jay is right that once the reserve tank is gone the warning light will be more of a "oh sh*t Im gonna run out of fuel" light, but the main...
LMAO @ this quote from his site about the new owner "Al":
"His wish list seem to be getting very short now as he has got most of the stuff he wanted only thing that is left is under glow neons but dont we all."
Oh hell yeah..... I just cant wait anymore for my neon packs to arrive :p
Thats a bit of a personal question lol ;) - but yes :p
But back onto the subject of the toolkit bolt thingy..... Im not sure cos I aint got a scale to work from
Well mine is different from that, for one thing mine is yellow and doesnt have the sticky-out handle, instead two short flaps thaqt you use to turn it.... maybe the 172 (not cup) one is a bit shorter cos you only have the toolkit and not the spare too?
Like Mike says, goto ya local dealer and...
