Would changing Fuel Filter, or using a bottle of Forte Fuel System Cleaner/Gas Treatment help.
Last time coolant system flushed? Water pump?
Seems temp related so not sure if fuel filter and fuel system cleaner may help but if you havent done so its not expensive and could help.
Dizzy cap...
Around 15 months on my F1s for the front, more for the rears as not changed them yet. Thats in 195/50/15. But then if you are dumping the clutch and wheelspinning you will get a lot less.
Well Forte Top End Treatment which goes in with teh Oil is good, as is their engine flush. Have also used Forte Fuel System Cleaner and Gas Treatment which are both good. Most of the petrol additives clean teh system out and help injectors. Even ones from STP, Slick 50 and Wynns have made a...
Can see people say he is good to own up but you can always bodge it back and then when something goes wrong a few miles down the road, say it was nothing to do with him.
If you have a bad experience with a mechanic, would you go back. Same as if you had bad service from a retailer or bad food...
Yeah but if someone is not competent then they could end up doing more damage. Is the person recommended and do you know otehr who have used this mechanic.
Good trades people are worth their weight in gold. I had my clio stuffed up during 2 different ice installs. And nearly conned over a...
Many traders are using ebay now and selling stuf at great prices.
Just managed to get hold of 2 lots of Dynamat Xtreme Bulk Packs for 110 quid each and then some Diamond Audio Hex 600s for 229.99. Shame only one of the Dynamats is for me and rest for my brother but there are some ridiculous...

My local shop (Leamington) had one on display so may have other at half price.
Only problem is they quote its £299.99 down from £599.99 yet flicking through their brochure it states it was £499.99. So not really half price but better than the £449 which is cheapest on net.
If you wanted to...
Flared arches and bonnet bulge will always win it for the valver. 172s and 182s are quick but dont look too different from lesser same shape clios. People recognise a Valver and Willy instantly, even if they do think a Valver is a Willy some of the time.
Good idea. Then know the condition of the engine and base improvements from there. Make sure its running ok though and check service parts like plugs, leads, dizzy and rotor which can lose power when worn.
There seems to be a lot of ICE doing teh rounds cheap on ebay. Especially Diamond Audio Hex Speakers (500 notes in shops) at just over 200 quid and Dynamat Xtreme. Probably loads more if you look.
Seems a lot are from the US and many in UK are selling for not much more. US sellers are...
Depends if you want something flashy with LED lights and graphics or something that oooozes sound quality.
If latter get something from Denon or Nakamichi.
Think if you do a search others have posted what to do. I usd Wynns stuff as was all I could find at my local shop. Others have used Slick 50 and said it works. Have used many Forte products and they seem to work well.
Forte on ebay...
Haynes manual advised on bleeding. Need to turn from lock to lock a few times and have reservoir lid off to check for any bubbles. Then use a syringe to remove.
Additives like Wynns, Slick 50 and Forte have been recommended for stoping leaks, lubing and helping generally. Take lid of first...
Got mine done at BB at 72k which cost around 137 quid. They did water pump at same time. I am in the Midlands too and was worth the drive down, getting low temp thermostat and fan switch, decat, chip and magnecor leads fitted at the same time.
Would only trust those who see these type of...
But it slaos only worth what someone is prepared to pay. May be worth putting on ebay with no reserve as reserve auction costs more and declaring that advertsied elsewhere so reserve the right to withdraw from sale.
Not sure if you get many non paying bidders and timewasters on ebay though...
As its low milage it seems a fair price as they are still highly regarded. Has cambelt been changed as it should be every 5 years or 72k miles.
Most similar on autotrader is a Willy 3 with 40k for £5500. Think this is overpriced but not massively:
1995 RENAULT Clio Williams, N reg.
40000...
Find my Eagles great in the wet, not the best in the dry but still pretty useable. Over 10 quid cheaper than the Michelins in my size so depends on your budget.
Think you will find they are sold and usually are quick to sell so if you ever see them, buy them !!!!
Cheapest I have found new is 450 quid for 16s in Gold. Although not in market for any yet so can wait for mine.
Think Slick 50, Wynns or STP do a Power steering additive that stops leaks and these usually lessen the noise made on full lock too. May be worth a try. Forte also do some very good stuff many of which can be found on ebay cheap.
Their solution although may not be a cure is...
Yup Valver owners get used to the heavy Clutch. Nick Hill looked at mine circa 80K and said it shouldnt be that heavy. As they wear they get tighter and heavier but you tend not to notice much as they are heavy to start with.
Then cables snap and keep snapping.
Got mine done not long after...
Fellow clio driver did it to me in Leamington Spa. Parked next too them to visit a mates house and all of a sudden my alarm went off. 3 girls getting into said clio with dizzy chick or something on the sun visor so guessed that my alarm was just being over sensitive.
Returning to my car...
When I was looking last year cheapest I was quoted for 16s in gold was just under 500 delivered from Carnoisseur and 450 from someone I bought supersprint manifold off. Both were cheaper than our discount from Speedline.
Tyres on top would make it 200ish more so can be done for 700 quid and...
Tend to do most things myself on mine.
Oil and filter change every 6k a must. Have done it myself for first time and its a pig to get at the oil filter. 20 quid at national tyres gets you it all done with duckhams qxr semi synthetic and new filter. Not worth etting your hands dirty at that...
