Shouldnt matter whos RR you use providing you get before and after figures for each chip to show differences.
Would perhaps be better getting 4 similar cars too. Ideally all on same car would be best as that would provide a constant for figures. If some cars have a ITG panel filter for...
Since mine was RRd at 148 with Magnex inc Decat, BB chip and BMC CDA all I have done is added a Superprint Manifold. May take it near or over 150 but will have to get it RRd.
If you have a cambelt change coming up soon may be cost effective to get new cams fitted at same time, even if...
Had mine for 4 years and 7 montsh now. 60k miles later and it still starts 1st time and returns 400 miles per 50 litre tank.
Had to pay for cambelt change, water pump change, new clutch and cable, new battery, new brake disks and pads all round, wheel bearings all round, new dizzy, rotor...
Not sure how heavy PAS is on these newer clios but tyre pressures can make a difference. Not sure how good dealerships are at amintaining these. If anything like hire cars then probably terrible.
Sure a 182 user could advise.
Think my inlet diameter is 82mm or there abouts. Have the remainder of the stiff corrugated pipe that came with the CDA in house so can measure that. Think Demon Tweeks do similar but cheaper as not carbon fibre.
Can always reduce the amount you say your car is worth. As you will only get market value if a write off anyway so pointless giving them the brand new price if it has a few k on the clock.
Remembered thet a guy I bought a supersprint manifold off for my valver a while back offered best deal on these.
I have got back in touch and am going for 16" in ET35 for my valver, possibly in gold but maybe in Anthracite. Best quote I have been given is 480 quid including postage. Gold is...
Got my highsports (non damping adjustable) FKs from Performance Driven in Taunton for my Valver.
At the time they offered free fitting which made them a very good deal. Well set up too until a "renault specialist" took off the fronts to fit a strut brace and didnt put them back as set up...
Always get mine from GSF, about half the price of Halfords and they are both in Leamington.
Last time they recommended the Valeo ones but they are no way as good as the Bosch. Only go for Valeo on teh rear as not many others fit properly.
U se Sainsburys Super Unleaded 97Ron as only 1-2p a litre dearer than their usual unleaded, get a better acceleration feel when using it and more mpg.
Not worth paying the excess for Optimax IMO as I use Forte additives every 6k and would rather do this than rely on suppsed cleaning properties...
Just picked up my Cosmo polisher from Motorworld yesterday.
It is exactly the same as the Meguiars battery operated polisher but you dont get the meguiars pad, extra battery and case, although at 70 quid less than the meguiars I can live with that.
Pads are velcro attached so ordered some...
I got quoted a silly amount for elf TRZ from my local dealer. Ended up going for Millers oil in 5 litres for 30 quid.
At these silly price you are better off going for Millers or Redline (both tried and liked) or Silkolene.
Now that the one Bass Monkeys fitted to my car has totally died, I need another that is hopefully better designed.
Mine had metal bars used for the pins to secure in plastic side trim. These eventually worked their way through the MDF so stopped locating the shelf as they should. Bottom...
Or ebay if you know what you are afetr and trust the seller. I got Dynamat Extreme Bulk Pack for 110 quid and my brother got some for the same price and some Diamond Audio Hex S600 speakers for 229 quid.
Same as all the other bulbs. Dashboard top off and instrument panel out I believe. Search will tell you. Ive go to do mine as left side of speedo and temp both gone. Renault cant tell bulb size though so gonna have to take apart one weekend and go down to my local motorist shop to compare...
Just filled my Valver with 75w90 Millers and it is good, although teh Redline stuff I had in before and stupidly drained by mistake was perhaps a bit better.
I needed 3.5 litres for Valve rbut worked out cheaper buying 5 litres.
Never had a problem with using Forte engine flush. Cant see why you need crud in engine to hold everything together and stop leaks.
Id rather be rid of the crud and have new oil getting everywhere its supposed to rather than be inhibited by debris and gunk.
Forte stuff is just added through...
Would recommend getting some Forte engine flush to get rid of all the crap in the engine. No good putting good oil in with that swimming around. Can get cheap off ebay.
Oils.... Silkolene Pro S, Millers.... either would be my preferred choice.
In the midlands and everywhere else I have filled up with Optimax it was 5p more a litre at launch and crept up to 6p.
Always get more mpg with Optimax or Sainsburys SUL. With Sainsburys SUL only a penny more than their 95ron round here always use that now. Savings over Optimax can go...
Well if I go to a RR and it tells me my Valver is 200 bhp, I should believe it ;)
RRs are only good for before and after figures. As you never know what its producing in the first place. And only on same RR due to variations. Otherwise for max effect could get it run before on most...
Warned mate who comes same way to work in Ibiza Cupra and seems police were art spot it happened at by the time he approached. Seems some kind of spillage on the road whcih wasnt visible in the light when I spun.
So not applicable to all roads but then sometimes you only get the greasiness...
Think they are a little bit greasy. Just had a spin narrowly avoiding a white van coming the opposite direction. A merc was planted in the hedge so guessing it wasnt driver error and something on road.
So be careful out there........
