I had it all done specially and they are very expensive im afraid. MB quart also do a reference range which are the RSD which are also superb and are about £200 for the front components I think.
Ive got a Rockford fosgate sub but have had to screw it down as it was sliding everywhere when I...
Granted although im not that bothered if im original or not. I like to drive my car and dont fancy having to take it there all the time to have bits tweeked!
Im researching other options today as have no work to do!
Its not David who wants my Cup, the K-Tec exhaust is not coming out until the end of March!
Its the chap at Hayward and Scott. As i told him "No way monkey man!"
Oh....what to do, what to do!
gutted, Hayward and Scott dont do one cat replacement as the Mk2 has twin lamda sensors.
Hes never done a Cup before so he wanted a "play around" with mine. "No way monkey man!" was my reply.
Am starting to think that an exhaust is pointless and might go for some other heavy engine mods...
costs not a problem, I just want a good system. The titanium was £550!
Ill give hayward and scoot a call and see what they say then. Has anyone else had one fitted? Are they worth the cash?
Just spoke to David at K-Tec who has told me that my Titanium exhaust wont be ready until the end of March now! Im gutted by this but I guess life goes on. Does anyone know of a REALLY good system that will make good benefits as a part of larger modifications. Ive heard Hayward and Scott...
Im hoping to have one before the Midland RR day as they said end of the month but then again they are unlikely to put me off are they?!
If no sign of it im going for a Dastek Unichip.
Scott, I got some MBQuart PSD which are absolutely superb! Because I have a sub in hte back and have really good front components I disconnected the reaer speakers as theyd ruin the sound. Unless you open the boot you cant tell they are there!
Most Cup owners have known this info for ages though? There have been enough posts on it!!
Everytime I speak to R-sport the bloke sounds like hes pissed so ill be dammed if hes working on my car! Am going to buy the ECU of him though, he also told me end of the month.
I dont think theres any further news from the last post that went out. We are all still waiting for the things to go on sale. Dont think theres a brochure yet but DannyBoy was meant to be going to visit them...
I love my missus Mini Cooper, very nice to drive and has a lovely interior. She doesnt want to race everyone, just to have enough power for those moments you need, which it has!
Ok, it was a bit costly for what it is but then if I went to sell it now Id get my money back!
BTW, shes not a...
I had a knocking sound the other day. Low and behold it was only the flamin devil who had jumped down on my car!
Anyway, my missus being a religous bird said "Quick Sangy, show him your cross!"
So I leaned out the window and shouted "Oi, get the fcuk off my car!"
Ohhh, the old ones...
IThe Cup does have a re-mapped ECU.
But back to the main point the R-Sport version is a different ECU, not a re-map so in theory it could of course go on a standard 172 but if Renault will approve it as such is another matter!
Danny, youre the bench mark being that youre the first guy to have it RRd! im gunning for you first of all!
N.B. From reading these posts please dont think Im competitive. I just want to beat everyone at everything...
The Grp N exhaust is some time off though... :(
Thats why Ive gone for a K-tec system. Although its not under renault warranty, itll have its own. The only thing is wont do without Renault approval is engine upgrades.
Loos like a race between Cupsize and I to get the first 200+Bhp Cup...
ECU should be out the first few weeks of February but get in line!
FYI:- the Cup does indeed currently have a different ECU setup to the standard 172 but the R-sport version is a replacement not a re-map.
I was thinking about doing sunstrips?! Saw a classic roar up behind me the other day. It was a standard fiesta with a sunstrip that when you looked at through your mirror it read MOVE OVER. Made me chuckle!
Oh, and I did move over as couldnt compete with his 1.4 power!
My missus has a Cooper and although they are indeed poo slow, they are very nice inside and not a bad drive as long as you dont wan tto race anything. I like the little thing but for what it is, its a rip off!
It was definately the pirelli. The contis only had 4 days more life but the difference between the two tyres was frightening. In my eyes thats all the proof I needed that Contis are pants!
checked it all over the weekend and still wasnt happy so its been into Renault this morning. Seems that because a tyre blew after 4 days and I had a pirelli put on instead of a Conti ( I hate Contis! ) that it was causing one tyre to grip more than the other meaning that although Im well aware...
I think my car might be broken but im not really too sure?
Its been pulling a lot when under any sort of acceleration but to no particular side. Its always been a case of hold on tight when I plant the right foot but I assumed that was torque steer although I wasnt sure? Just over the last...
